Post subject:  Your Ballistic Arena weapon sets.

Do you have a custom weapon set you like to use often? Post it here, and perhaps tell us some more info about them.

Texas Hold 'Em - Mano-a-mano dueling, and 2v2 could work as well.
Pump-action Shotgun
Revolver

Lightning Storm - Be careful on Bridge Of Fate, as the opponent's Lightning Gun may well throw you off the edge.
Skirth Sidearm
Skirth Rifle
Lightning Gun

Fire-power - Makes for extremely hectic CTF games. Sometimes finding water is more important then getting the flag!
Flamethrower
Flame Grenade

Pistola - it's beyond awesome running at your opponent with duel pistols blowing their head off. Now add CTF-Joust into the mix, and it's gonna get crazy in 3, 2, 1...

S.W.A.T. - Great for TAM games, as these weaps are meant to flush out, flank and pin-down groups of enemies.

Enravion - Does what it says on the tin, use this with Ballistic Weapons and make the changes in the swapping menu. Also make sure random sidearm is unchecked. Ordered by UT2004 Weapons.

Cpt. X: sounds interesting, perhaps if weapons such as the Cryorifle and Hydrobore get made we can have a new loadout called Elemental War.

Heh heh... yeah, that would probably be true. :P

Personally the pineapple grenades are my best weapon. Getting unstoppable in DM-Flux against 4 godlikes using pineapples exclusively is pretty cool. 8)

Yeah, with a cryorifle and hydrobore that'd be extremly awesome. 8)

Indeed, considering that there aren't enough spawn points in TrainingDay for 1/4 of that bot count.

Loadout Config: inspired by Counter Strike, Dm-BlackHawk and DM-Dust2k5

Melee: X3 Combat Knife
Sidearm: All sidearm-class weapons except Skirth Sidearm
Pri Wep: M50 Assault Rifle, SRS900 Battle Rifle, both Machineguns, Sniper Rifle
Sec Wep: XK2 SMG, all single-barrel shotguns
Explosives: Pineapple, Expolsive Device, Landmine

In addition, the default function didn't work for me, so here's my guesses (most are fairly logical)
Melee: aal melee class weapons
Sidearm: all sidearm-class weapons, MRT6 Shotgun, all SMGs
Primary: all assault weapons, all SMGs (optional) all spread excluding MRT6, all Sidearms (optional)
Secondary: all assault weapons, all spread weapons excluding MRT6, all machinegun-class weapons, all sniper-class weapons all other 'Monster Weapons'
Explosives: all explosive class weapons

This loadout ensures no one will start with the Railgun and the Minigun etc, though if they wish they may start with more weaker weapons, lke the AR and BR which are quite a combo in their own right, and couple that with a pair of SMGs or large-damage pistols, you'll be quite the opponent.

Defaults are:
Melee - obvious
Sidearm - All pistols and SMGs, and the shot-pistol
Primary - Everything in sidearm, plus all assault and spread, the sniper rifle, and the two heavy machine guns
Secondary - Everything in primary except for the sidearms, and add the flamer, RPG, lightning gun, minigun, and railgun
Greande - obvious

My favorite loadout is:
Melee - Katana
SideArm - Fifty 9
Primairy - Fifty 9
Secundairy - Minigun/SniperRifle/G5Rocketlauncher
Explosive - Land Mine

I don't use Arena very often, usually only when I'm testing very large numbers of weapons at a time. But I'll give some Loadout sets...

ASSAULT!
Melee: X3 Knives, Riot Shield (It WOULD go here anyway, if you could pick junk items...)
Sidearm: Assault Pistol
Primary: Assault Rifle
Secondary: Assault Shotgun
Grenade: Satchel Charge (the laser-trip bomb)

This set makes for a fairly tactical match, especially with the laserbombs strewn all over the level. You have to go slowly if you want to live.

Absolutely FSKING Insane
Melee: Lightning Gun
Sidearm: Flamethrower
Primary: Railgun
Secondary: Minigun
Grenade: RPG Launcher

Seriously, nothing lives for more than a few seconds with this set...

Unreal Championship 2 (this set uses weapons from several weapon packs, so change it to suit your resources)
Melee: Shield Gun, Skrith Claws, X3 Knives
Sidearm: Assault Rifle, Chaos Pulse Pistol, SOAR
Primary: Shock Rifle, Link Gun, Minigun, Lightning Gun, Crossbow, ERDW, Parasite, Crispe, CFX, Helios
Secondary: Biorifle, Flak Cannon, Rocket Launcher, Grenade Launcher, AVRiL, Claw2, MUG, Ripjack, Chaos Grenade Launcher, PepperPot
Grenade: Changes often, sometimes I put the Translocator and Ninja Rope Launcher here, other times I let everyone pick a superweapon (Redeemer, Gravity Vortex, Personal Ion Cannon, Orbital Cannon Uplink)

For the best possible recreation of UC2 [size=7px](which I still maintain as the best Unreal EVER)[/size], turn on Low Gravity, Species Statistics, and ALL your adrenaline combo mutators. It also helps to use Tweaktool or something similar to boost the amount of Adrenaline you get from pills and frags. For EVERYTHING, you're going to need UT2004 (duh), Ballistic Weapons, ChaosUT2, Weapons of Evil, the Ripjack (single weapon by Radiosity), and maybe Arkon weapons and the Ninja Rope Launcher.

From what I can tell, these are the packs you need for UC2, apart from UT2004 and BW.

ChaosUT2 (and you would need to be within it to access these weapons)

Weapons of Evil (can be used with pretty much anything else)

And something called the Ninja Rope Launcher which I've never heard of, though you can enable CUT2's grapple hook and have a similar effect.

My usual UT game consists of Advanced Regen mute, WoRM armoury and the U4E Gateways gametype on a random ONS map. Result? CARNAGE!
Usual Loadout sets

Monster hunt
Melee: MRT6 Shotgun. Handy for point blank Skaarj
Pistol: XK2 Submachine gun: Crowd control of little pests
Primary 1: Skrith Rifle. Very balanced weapon, bayonet is handy and it repairs vehicles too!
Primary 2: M925 machinegun. Chews through bads like a zombie through brains
Grenade: FP9A5. Good for tactical retreats and area denial

Gate slayer
Melee: Skrith sidearm. Infinite ammo to keep away pests, and vehicle repair
Pistol: MTR6 Shotgun. For close encounters and backup gate killing
Primary 1: M50 Assault Rifle. Area clearance around the gate
Primary 2: M290 Shotgun. The ultimate gate slayer
Grenade: T10 Toxin grenade. Keeps bads off your back while you kill their gate

Pest Control
Melee + Pistol: AM7 Assault Pistols.
Primary 1: M353 machinegun. For suppressive fire without friendly fire
Primary 2: RX22A Flamethrower. Burn the heretics/xeno scum!
Grenade: FP7 Napalm grenade. See above :)

I updated my post with a list of the stuff in it. This Ninja Rope I'm talking about is WAY better than that crappy Chaos one; this one bends around corners, hooks people to you and lets you drag them around, and works without extra keybinds. It's good fun. 8)

These are the harder ones to find. Everything else can be found using Google.
