Due to the thread about PA, i think i'll tell you some planets that was incorporated in some of my xwi's

Xero 3: a bitter ice planet that none have dared to try until the thermotech company invented heatlock suits.
home to B & W ice weapons division and home to Icssa Skrith. during 2128 the Icssa raided the corporate
company to steal the Liquid nitrogen thrower but ultimately failed after they gave them the 6 shooter treatment if ya know what i mean ;). After they tried to steal it again but this time they stealed something more awesome: the D49 revolver plans (thus creating the A33).

there will be more...

Wonderful. Except none of yours exist cause RS probably won't accept them, not to rain on your parade. Still good description of planets that could be in the PA galaxy.

PA is a universe, not just one galaxy.
I like the sound of that planet, maybe they'll include it but name it differently.

Do all your planets have numbers after the name? Is there a reason.

Author:  SX [ Mon Mar 26, 2007 8:30 pm ]
Post subject:  PA Planets

no not all of them ( e.g. falidos)

The planets in Alpha Centauri are named Alpha Centauri A, B and C if I'm not mistaken.
Maybe it's the same reasoning here.

Okay, is it just because they can't think of any other names so they add numbers or letters to them, i'm guessing yes.

Author:  Bjossi [ Mon Mar 26, 2007 8:49 pm ]
Post subject:  PA Planets

No, it has something to do with planets sharing similarities. Planets of the same solar system tend to be named the same name but with a number or letter attached, our solar system is an exception.

It also makes things easier down the road. If given a proper name, one would ideally know what galaxy, star and arrangement from the star the planet resides in.

While I don't think this is currently true for the planets' names, it sure would make sense to do sometime when we get more advanced in space travel.

Plus there are just so many planets out there, one could not possibly give them all a name other than some sort of numerical value, although the residents (if any) probably would come up with names for it themselves.

And I'm betting if you looked hard enough there probably is a more specific name for Earth.

Earth's scientific name is Tellus.

Cool ideas SX :)

We know more or less about the planets of PA, except their names :D

A while back, i wrote my own dictionary of over 4000 words i found.. (actual words).. Lots were of gods, mythology sorta stuff, and i started thinking of names for some of our planets.. Terrans named all the planets, coz they dont know what the Skrith called the same planets :D Chances are, they have like god/ancient hero names and stuff :) although, i'm always open to cool sounding made-up words :P

Wow... 4000 words? Sweet. 8)

I'm willing to bet you know quite a bit of mythology from doing that. :D

I was actually under the impression many were unnamed, non-specific worlds, guess I was wrong! :P

Of course there are unnamed worlds, the human race hasn't seen 1% of the whole universe, not even close. 8)
I think the same would be cool in PA.

Sorry everyone i'm late (idiotic school computers)

Deminix 2: A barren wasteland that was left for eons to be imploded, however a new race was formed. The blakdemons, also known as Demens, was formed during 7900 b.c. after the Allosian's expelled their sins. Some believe that their sins have traveled a great distance to reach the barren wasteland. millenniums later, the UTC has explored the planet during 2130. they have succeeded in raiding their home but came with a price, they had to sacrifice 3 souls.
in the end however, this planet was left to be in peace

Pretty damn good. Though i think the wording can use a few touches here and there but otherwise, great job.

It's good but until the computers at my school are fixed no stories until late at night

I'm Home! :D

Sebrex: a war-torn planet that has been in war for centuries and centuries until the UTC had to break it up. it's known point was the betrayal of Lord Troy II after the humans on that planet had enough of it's tyrannical ways, so they shoved of Mount Desondz

( i can still do this, just not when i'm at school)

cool names, they fit right into the PA universe! :D

I've also made up a whole story just like the PA... but then its the Trade Federation and it looks reaaally different than the PA... it looks like a mixture of EVE-online, Freelancer, X3:Reunion and alot of other sciencefiction stuff but then the mixture is modified, changed, adding stuff, removing stuff untill I got a good story :D

anyways... keep on the topic on these names...

Thanks everyone :D

Strim 3: a terran mining site that's known for it's finding (and also birthspot of the J55). it's oxygen levels were slim at first until they made the E42 Oxygen placer then every can breathe on the planet. however, it's also known for the skrith raid. during 2113, skrith tried to steal the gems but had difficulty since the Terrans used their new J55's (which caused 3rd degree burns) which forced the skrith to retreat. alas, 5 people was ripped to shreds by the skrith. but nevertheless, it still remains to be a successful mining planet.

Can others name planets too? I'd like to, but I suck at lore.

only 5 people? Would have thought more would be ripped apart, five is a pathetic number.

I have a cool idea for a planet! This one is really special.
(the name has a real meaning, look for it at www.behindthename.com)

Chernobog.
A planet which looks so bright and shiny from the outside, has eternal darkness on the surface. This planet has three cloud layers, the highest is very thin air. Hard to breathe for humans, but possible. The middle layer is a big, thick cloud, no light can shine trough. And the lowest is a mixture of Oxygen and some other gasses not dangerous to humans. Because of the thin crust of the earth, there are many vulcanoes, geisers and lava pools which have a red glow. Humans wanted that heat source to generate energy, but as they sended down some ships to colonise the dark planet, the thick atmosphere did great deal of damage to their ships, making them safely land, but unable to launch again.
While stuck on the planet, light was their best friend. Normally, the planet is just as dark as you closing your eyes, hold your hands infront of your eyes and sit in a closet with no light. There are also creatures living on that planet, such as the small heat-eaters. They will sit their entire life near a lava pool or geiser and they will absorb the heat which will give them energy to survive. There are also predators, preying on the heat-eaters and many other creatures. All of the creatures have excellent hearing, and huge eyes to try to see something, which only has effect when theres a breach trough the clouds, which lets light down to the surface. These creatures HATE light, they are very strong and the best weapon to use agains them is light. If you carry a big light source while moving around on that planet, you will be most likely safe.
The thick clouds also generate alot of lighting, storms and other things. There is little water, most of it is in the cloud layer, but it often comes down to rain. 20 minutes after the rain is gone, all the water will be gone aswell because of the high temperatures of the planets core.
The planet also has extreme high mountains, which go right trough the cloud layer, making islands above.
The goal of the humans which remain on the planet is to get up there and transmit SOS messages across the galaxy to get rescued. Those humans already build settlements on mountain cliffs. Using strange stones which are a good natural source of light. These Light Stones last almost forever, and are the main source for lighting.

Its big... but usefull for a story which goes about the humans on that planet.

That is a very good idea, but 3 layers in the atmosphere is not enough to block sunlight that much.
