tried to install BW2 with the *.ut4mod --> didn't work dled the zipfile, but didn't know, where to unzip the files --> registered asked for help here, and received some good advice --> happy! thanks in advance :> edit: i'm german  , so please answer in "easy" english, thankee

i know where to put single files, but i dont know, how to call the folder e.g. my "chaosUT" created a folder called "ChaosUT2" and put every needed file into that folder my question is: how do i call the folder of BWmod? |

Install via zip. 1Open zip file up. Im older so I use classic style. 2. Veiw the read me it explains all. 3 Next look at all the files you will find they have a listing where ththey go into your unreal folder. 4 Use the ctrl key to select all files of a same type. IE system files. 5 THe top of the zip console shows where the files are going at the moment. Click on the folder icon to open up your competers files, find UT and open it. Find the system floder and open it. Click the extract button on the zip console. the files will extract. Note make sure folders are turned off in zip or zip will give the moved files there own litte folder with the file your putting them in. 6. Do this with all the other files to thier other file types to where they go .utx=textures, .usx=static meshes till you have installed all the files into thier proper places. If you have installed with Umod let zip overwrite the files as it installs. 7.once done close zip and go look at your ut folder and check to make sure you installed the files in each folder correctly. If they ended up in thier own folers within a folder, go into the folder and cut the files and paste them into the main folder. IE textures into textures ect. 8. Run ut and blow crap up. |

This is a much easier way. This way assumes you've already unzipped the BW2.0 zip archive. Open the folder with the BW folders, select all of the folders that will be needed (like system, textures etc.) and then click Copy this folder in the File and Folder Tasks column. Then with the little window that opens, navigate to your UT2004 directory and copy. You will be asked if you want to overwrite a folder or something like that, click Yes to All and the BW files will be added to UT2004. If you require some pictures to help just say. |
