I updated from 1.7x to 2.0 a little while ago. Unfortunately, none of the new weapons or features are available; I can't select any of the new weapons in loadout mode either. I had the same problem earlier when I downloaded the additional weapon packs. Otherwise the game works fine, but it is indistinguishable from 1.70; no new features or weapons. Can anyone help me out? |

Delete all the old BW files first before installing the new ones. That's the golden rule. |

wow thets wierd i didnt delet anything when i instaled bw2.0 and it works fien did you use the umod? |

I'd suggest playing it safe and doing a clean install of 2004 before installing 2.0, unless you have a good reason not to. |

Yes, if you can have a fresh install of UT2004 and patch it up to v.3669. Alternately, search your UT2004 directory using the Windows Explorer search function for any BW files and delete them. Then install 2.x Note: if you want Junk Wars installed too, do that before installing Ballistic Weapons, as I think its Ballistic Core files are outdated and BW 2.0 has some new ones. |

Did you add the ServerPackages= lines to your ut2004.ini? |

I removed the old files and renamed the new ones and it works fine now. Thanks! |

Why'd you go and re-name the files? That would cause you problems when trying to play online. |

That is pointless unless the folder is a total mess. It would be enough deleting the BW files. Here are tips: 1) BW files are located in: Animations, Sounds, StaticMeshes, System, Textures. 2) All BW files begin with a B so just scan the first few files of each folder and delete the BW ones. 3) After doing the above, install BW2.0 and enjoy. |
