I am wondering if B.W. is a mod and not just a weapon pack??? |

I don't like to think about it as "just a weapon pack", but for the most part, that's pretty much what it is. The most highly-detailed, complex, and feature-rich weapon-pack I've ever seen. Although the addition of the sprint mutator, awesome gore system, and other goodies might push it beyond "weapon pack" status for many. |

BW is first and foremost a weapon pack. It works fine without the custom rules, but it does have other features that are awesome even without the kick-a** weapons. The weapons are so diferent from standard UT that it completely changes play. |

A weapon pack is a modification, By the way, I see you gave a lot of thought into creating a username. |

nothing wrong with a name, 1111. Maybe it's a binary form of the hexidecimal representation of his class average? Just kidding. Anyways, I think it should be noted that, as Ganome mentioned, it does drastically change the gameply of UT04. For example, you can grab a small shield and charge at a bot that's shooting a minigun at you and flak it to death. Can't do that when the bot has one of the automatic BW (Ballistic Weapons). Many people see imbalances, when it's really just a matter of changing your tactics (be more sneaky and less like Rambo). |

The only movement I can think of right now is when 2D fighting games make a comeback. Won't be surprised to see game studios make new ones. Sorry... had to say that.. I know it's OT.. |

I'm waiting for sidescrollers to return. Those games can make use of today's engine capabilities and create some interesting gameplay. I wanted to go OT too.

I consider BW to be a modtator-pack, its a pack of mutators that modifies the gameplay

Then all mutators are modtators... |

Hmm, good point. But not all mutators are packs, and not all mods are mutators, and I probably just made this topic more complicated than it needed to be. |
