I am a seasoned player of old, and have never really had a problem with installing mods, or mutators. I recently purchased a 24" iMac, and UT2K4 for mac. I have a few problems with UT on this machine, mostly with hosting servers, but I cannot for the life of me get Ballistic Weapons ver.2.0 to work. I have unpacked the zip, and transferred every file to it's appropriate location. It will not function. Is there something I am missing? I even tried unpacking it and installing it again.... 4 times. Still, nothing. I have the latest patch version installed, and this will not show up. I really want to play, as my brother, a PC user has this already, and I want to play with him. Anyone have any suggestions? I really hope that the answer will not be "this was not configured to run on intel based mac's" as I believe that the update patch took care of that issue, and the rest should work as normal. Also, every map I have installed works perfectly. No issues there. Please help, I want to play this ASAP. Thanks... |

1: Have you tried installing by using the .UMOD? Couldn't hurt, right? 2: Try having your bro host a dedicted server (be sure all server packages are included). When you join, as you most likely know, you will download all the necessary files into your cache folder and can play from there. If you're on a good LAN connection, the download shouldn't take more than a couple minutes. Then, your bro could host a listen server and all should be well. You may be abl to install the mod from your cache using a cache extractor or UT2004MI, but I wouldn't know for sure. |

Unfortunatly, UMODs don't work in the mac world. Most every program designed for cache extraction are PC only as well. I understand what you are saying about the host a server bit, but this doesn't help me when I host the server for 20 people, and he is not involved. Anyone who is connected to the creators of this MOD, please responde, and maybe we can fix this bug. Thanks |

Is your Ut up to date??? Version 3369? Also UMODS blow chunks ALWAYS stick Zip and manual install. |

So you way, but I cannot recall having any troubles with unods. While we're on that subject, would a umod extractor yield the same contents as extracting a zip? |

Maybe James just got lucky, I have no clue how to actually resolve Mac problems except install Windows to gain compatibility with the game. |

you pc guys have no clue but here is the deal everything is copesetic with the mac's all you have to do is to delete the beging part of the file names such as system/, sounds/, etc. so there u go. the only issue is the commands for bw dont show up in the configure controls section of the input menu so you have to do it manualy from the user.ini file but i asked for a list of commands so u can just copy and paste for whatever button you want to use for the special commands. Simple sweet easy just like a mac. |

The filenames don't have system/, sounds/, etc. in front of them.

what? thats f'd up did you download the zip version or the umod the zip file when unzipped should have that in front of them when I downloaded it I had the problem of it not working ethier then I deleted the first part of the file path in the name and bam it worked. send me a pm and explain what you have done so far and i'm sure i can help you figure out the problem. You should also try downloading the editors choice bonus pack and mac patch for ut04 before you do anything else w bw. If you don't already have ethier of those that could be the solution. |

I know it works, I have it on mac and play fine. If I were you, I would get the latest patch, the mega pack, and then the umod. download the UT2k4 Mod Installer from apple utilities and have it put the umod in. I did zip for BW, but i use this for stuff like air power. It should work fine. |

Hey, I am a mac, and it works great for me. Make sure that the original files thatyou may need to wipe out, are renamed or actully deleted. |

i used the umod for bw 2.0 and it worked for mme including for other mods
