can somebody say how the bloody hell mutator works?? do you have to select one of the Balistic weapon game types??

Bloody Hell is a some unneeded mutator now. Any BW gametype or BW mutator (minus BH) will give you the Ballistic Weapons pawn actor, which gives you an unimaginable amount of gore and blood. The Bloody Hell mutator is only needed if your not playing with a BW mutator or gametype on, namely for regualr instant actions battles in UT2k4 with the original weapons, it doesn't give you the pawn, its like the old 1.72 bloody hell and little better and with a new blood textures for species.

It should be used automatically whenever the ballistic weapons mutator is set.

If you are not seeing any blood despite having the necassary mutators in place, check your detail settings ( you could have low gore mode on) and also make sure all Bloody Hell gore effects are not disabled in the Bloody Hell menu

Also, I think I noticed that some fo the Bloody Hell effects don't take effect if you ahve certain video details turned down and/or check boxes un-checked. For example, I think I noticed that turning off "Detail Textures" made the little giblets that stick to the walls go away. When I turned it back on, they came back

I'm a mac user too and I have this same problem.

What system are you running? Intel or PPC?

I know for a fact that it doesn't work on the intel Macbook, and when I had my old PPC, I remember it not working then, but I can't be sure.

I have all of theose boxes checked - do you know what video details need to be turned up?

*EDIT*
Okay, on the Intel, what I did was I ticked all the boxes and turned ALL settings up to Normal and it worked. I'm gonna twiddle and see which setting affects it.

Also, how do I know that I'm playing v 2.0. I mean, I downloaded it and installed it, and replaced all the older files, but I'm just not sure if this is version 2 or the older one. :P

Lastly, what is the name of the map at the beach? The one that they used in the vid?

OKAY FIXED: you have to have Decal Stay on either normal or high for the blood to work.

Also - I found the map ^^

well.. i;m not sure how it would be have on macs.. but..

make sure projectors and decals are on.. word detail should be on high to see everything, and decal stay may need to be set higher :)
