Hmm, been a while sence i've made a thread here, oh well here's my annoying bug.

For the backstory of this bug; once the HVK LG was released i thought wouldn't it be awesome to have it be and secondary replacement to the Link gun, and it was (this wasn't first though). So in the swapping menu i had under Link gun; Skirth energy rifle and the HVK LG. All was good and fine, then i started to notice that whenever i closed UT2k4 and opened it up (when i had the LG only replace the Link gun) then start it up again some time later and play a match the BW mut, instead of getting the LG i get the link gun, so i was hmmm that sucks, so i closed the map, fixed it and all was peachy. Then it happened again and again, but i was still able to fix it.

The i decided a few weeks ago to have the link gun replaced by the HVK LG and SKirth rifle, so then when i fired up a game it worked fine, i ended up with the LG, next game i got the LG, and the next game i got the skirth rifle. so i was pleased with this. And then closed down UT2k4 and didn't open it up for at least 2 weeks.

Now here is the real bug (the first LG and link was the first), when i booted up UT2k4, i went and played a CTF, no biggie, i got my skirth rifle, but then i played another map and i got the link gun, so i was like WTF, so i again tried another map and got the Link gun. Then in anger i opened swapper and seeing that the LG was unselected and the skirth rifle was under the link gun i was like okay, and tried another map and again got the f**king link gun. So i then went into swapper and removed the skirth rifle and reselected the LG, then unselected the LG and added the Skirth rifle under the Link gun. BUt still i got the damn link gun.

This is my bug, and this thread is my rage... please help, and yes i know i haven't fully tested this bug, but still thought you should know.

Also here's a LG bug (if you didn't understand my first bug); whenever you have the LG selected in swapper, then close UT2k4 and then open it again and place a map with swapper, you won't get the LG, but if you put the LG in swapper then right away play a map you'll get it.

well it seems i might have fixed it or at least found a tempoary solution for now. All i did was went back into swapper and saved all of the stuff, and it worked, also after this i have found that i really love the orginal shotgun out of all the other shotguns (even Redshifts).

I know. The single barrel 12-guage is my fav too. You just have to know how to use it.

I find it works best with the iron sights. but i think we shoudn't go off topic unless you want to Moderator X

Interesting... I had (and still have, I guess) a similar bug where you'd sometimes get the minigun instead of the MGs or whatever when using BW's swapper. This sucks because the mini's accuracy totally unbalances the game, bots will whore it like crazy and 0wn you and each other with it. Also there was some other weird stuff going on like dropped minis sometimes turning into MGs, which can be picked up again & again. Tried all sorts of things, but ultimately I just gave up and went back to using WoRM, which works flawlessly, even if it has fewer swapping options etc. Maybe the problem will fix itself when I download 2.0, we'll see...

ok.. better look into this..

2.0 should fix a large number, or all of the swapper s unfortunate bugs
