i have been playing BS for a while now and i think the new update is great, but i wanna know whats gonna happen next, is there gonna be another update and when? or are they gonna concentrate on UT3 now? |

I have not been around long but the impression i get is that they will stay mainly with 2k4 for a while maybe working in secret a little on ut3 as well before finally switching over. I don't really know but this is the impression im getting |

Humour aside, I expect maybe one last update to address any issues people have uncovered in the new features of 2.1 But right now Runestorm is considering moving their efforts to a new game with better video quality. Many hope its UT3 but thats only a rumour. BW may also appear on Crysis which is a likely candidate. Again that is a rumour. All free speech and journalism has been suppressed by the Runestorm secret police (Xavious) so until BW3 we dont know what they plan on doing. |

Well, we are planning something big... There may be some smaller stuff first. We will considder UT3 and see if its capable of carrying BW... |

It will be good, and it will be more in the direction of RuneStorm's long term plans...but there may just be some small things here and there along the way

It's a single player mod for 2004 based on the Project Archon universe, I'm calling it now. That's the great thing about these forums; the RS team gives out just enough information to keep us all wildly guessing for months on end until they actually announce something

I moved the VCTF server to a new location so I should be able to Hang around with Ut2004 a bit...I will be running a Ut3 Warefare/VCTF server also...So I will still test any ut04 stuff you want me to. |

but can you tell us whats gonna be in the next update? i would like new guns and the upgrade system that every1 is talking about like putting scopes and bayonets on the ranger and stuff... |

An upgrade system would be a hell of a lot of work. Think of all the modeling and animation involved. And why would they tell us anything? It'd spoil the surprise! In the next update, I would love to see the Conflict gear system expanded to other gametypes. Gametype-specific gear would be a really nice touch, like maybe a power-node booster item that automatically heals nodes it's placed on, or some kind of device that temporarily disables power nodes or vehicles. Other than that, more general gear items would be great too, like healing items or speed/accuracy boosting things. Maybe an invisibility cloak for Predator-style conflict matches (Think, 1 invisible "Predator" with Skrith weapons, against the other team outfitted with human weapons. Naturally, one would carry a minigun, at least one has an M50, and another would have dual XK2s. Don't remember what the others would have though). It would also be cool if you code limits to how many of each item you could carry (for instance, you'd never need two cloaking devices or parachutes). Other things I would like to see are real-time shadows and gore system improvements, like spawning the blood pool on severed limbs or heavily-damaged areas, or specialized ragdoll gibs that for cleaner dismemberments. More Skrith weapons would be grand. A grenade-launcher type weapon would be neat too, as we're lacking in that department. A compound bow would be ridiculously awesome, but it'd probably be too much work. |

They plan on using a universal energy-to-mass converter to spawn an army of Malcoms from UT2004 with railgins, take over the world, and quantize the time-space continuum.
