I unzipped them all to the correct folders, I checked to make sure the extensions matched. I did not unzip them all to the same folder

I downloaded the ballistic weapons v2 zip file and placed the files into their respective folders. Then I tried to run BW. I had the bonus modes and the mutators but none of the original weapons were replaced no matter what combination of BW mutators and modes I tried. Then I decided to download the UMOD which would not even run. I have the latest patch and I am running Mac OS X. I also tried to install the v2.1 patch but that did not resolve the problem either. I have read through any posts relating to these issues and none of the fixes work. Any help would be appreciated. |

Whoa whoa whoa, back that truck up. With the zip file, did you specifically unzip each file in each folders to their respective UT2004 folders? For instance, did you unzip everything in the Textures folder to UT2004/Textures? If so, all you needed to do was unzip the whole thing to your UT2004 folder. The files sort themselves out. If you check your folders, you should see a duplicate folder within that folder holding the Ballistic files (for example, UT2004/Textures/Textures. You can delete those to save space. |

No no wait. You're supposed to take the whole thing (everything) and just unzip it all to the UT2004 folder. Don't unzip the stuff in the textures folder to your UT2004\Textures folder. Just take everything and unzip to C:\UT2004\ or wherever your folder is located. |

Ugh, well I guess I can't get this to work then. Basically instead of a folder I have a package, which I can open, but I can't extract to it because it is considered a program. So unless I know exactly what it should look like and where the files should go I'm pretty much stuck. |

Open up the BW2.1 zip file, choose to extract all files and make sure 'Use Folder Names' is checked. The extract path should be x:\path\to\UT2004, replacing that line with the proper path in your case. (default is C:\UT2004) This is doomed to work, unless you forgot to install BW2.0 first or your UT2004 version is outdated. |

The extra extension at the beginning of the files will make ut2004 ignore them unless you change some lines in one of the .ini files or something idk. So.... take off the [animations/]ballistic....ukx (as well as with the other file types. but.... do what bjossi said first, he has the right idea. im just kind of lazy and delete the extra extensions at the beggining of the file to make it so i dont have to add lines and what not to some system file. |
