Post subject:  runaway loop detected in ONS mode with ballistic weapons

this happens at around 7 mins into any BW ONS game, regardless of map, but the one below is the bug thingie from ONS arctic stronghold and the following mutators were used:
Ballistic Sprint
Stunt vehicles
regeneration
vampire
bloody hell

i know this is solely because of the ballistic weapons and not because of the mutators because i tried removing the mutators and this still happened. the weapon type in this match is loadout, but that doesn't affect the crashing (ie. it still crashes with other weapon type settings)

ps, this is not the only error i get, but the runaway loop error is the most common.

I trimmed the log a bit for you, it had huge amounts of repeated warnings, and a very long line that made this page annoyingly wide.

I don't see any connection with BW in most of the warnings and errors in there. But the criticals that caused the crash seem to be related to faulty AI. We'll need to wait for the BW coder to check this out. I can only say so much about the info in the log.

By the way, if you are playing the BW ONS gametype, have you tried to play default ONS with the BW mutator and see if anything changes?

also, how can you uninstall the mod? im thinking maybe an uninstall/reinstall might help a little bit.

forgot to mention, when i do play normal ONS with BW mutator i still get the same errors, ill try and post the other errors as they come up because there are numerous ones.

Well, this makes me wonder, have you tried an ONS match without anything BW related? A crash after a fixed amount of time is most of the time related to hardware problems.

Looks Like a corrupt Map, I have ran A couple thousand ONS matches on that map with BW with no problems, try deleting the map and re downloading it just to be safe.

I don't think its a standard one. I may be wrong, though, as I haven't played onslaught in so long. Try reinstalling the map if it is a download. Otherwise, eh, I've got nothing :p

Pardon the thread necromancy. On an unrelated note, part of the log indicates you are missing files the different ONS maps need. For example, ONS-KillzoneMetro needs a texture packaged with the ONS-Icarus map.

I know very little about UT log data,but what is this loading crap that is shown at the top of the(now cut)log,you said this was Arctic Stronghold(a original map) why is it trying to get data from other maps?

Edit:Also when concerning the texture files the game is trying to locate.The game always looks in a specific spot and name of a file.If you can nail down the name of the file and find out where it want to get it from,you can copy and paste,then rename if necessary.(yet if the file isn't actually the file it is looking for,then it will get confused)

And don't forget to backup before trying any of this!

Assuming you manage to "fool" the map with the renamed texture package, you will get strange result in-game if the texture is commonly used.

just to make it clear: THIS PROBLEM IS SOLVED, i just reinstalled BW and stopped giving bots commands, so its fine, it was probably an AI thing as someone else said before.

edit: but thanks guys, you have been helpful, BW owns :D
