The official word, is that there is no decision yet, wether to port BW to UT3 or not.
The devs are still investigating.
From a personal point of view, I'm hopping we see BW on UT3

Not for a while I think (and hope). Better to finish it on UT2k4 than to half finish it then move on. |

UT2004 BW development has stopped. The best you can expect are sponsored bonus weapons or features. |

So do i, its almost impossible to play UT3 with standard weapons, i'm bound to BW.

I want real blood also, they are crazy giving it a M rating. Unless I am nuts, UT3 has almost no blood with the filter on bloody hell. Plus, I want to make bodies explode in a big blood splatter with my rpg launcher in UT3.

I'm afraid so. But look at this as a kind of strategy, if they decide to make a UT3 version of BW, it will be BW3.0 with plenty of new things, including the bugfixes we want. So technically this would mean we as true BW fans would switch to UT3 to support our guys. UT3 is constantly getting cheaper here anyways, so I got nothing to lose. |

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.................... ok, I'm done. Is it worth the money to upgrade from Ubuntu Linux to Max OS on a medium-powered lappy? Oh, and BW3 has my roxxors, but it would be a little tricky to get the feel of the BW gameplay right with the faster movement speed. However, the tighter levels would work well in favor of BW. |

i think the bw staff would have a pretty tough time with a bw mod for ut3 i have the game and the grahpical and processor requirments are crazy plus trying to freaking mod the unreal 3engine aint easy lol im not sure but to me modding the unreal3 engine is harder then the ut2004 engine |

Reduced modability? After working through 3d Buzz's video mapping tutorials, I thought mapping was much easier. Granted, there is a bit of a learning curve for those who are familiar and comfortable with UT2004 mapping, like someone climbing out of the Windoze rut only to be blinded by the brilliant and not-quite-double-click luminecense of Linux, but once you get comfy with it, it is much easier. ... or are we talking about coding weapons/vehices/gameplay mods? |

My brother said mapping for UT3 is better(more easy to make terrain, for example), but as i heard modding is much more limited(i saw somewhere that is difficult(or impossible) to mod the gametype UI. |

Well i have no idea what you mean by "medium-powered lap top" maybe some specs could help? Mac osX is a better OS to me, i recently uninstalled Windows off my mac(I was dual booting for over a year) because i barely ever used it. Its just a personal prefrence though. |
