First of all is the next version going to be called 2.2? When you configure the mutator you should be able to configure a lot more stuff like for example the weapons damage individually. That should suit a lot of peoples needs. But its not just the damage, anyone should be able to configure the time you engage in the iron sights or scope, adjust the time a shotguns reloads and cocks, how fast the grenades charge up, how much damage radius it has. For the M900 grenades it would be how far it launches and how much damage radius it has. And shouldn't a grenade launcher eject out a empty shell? We shoud be able to change weapon color too but that is not that important By the way has anyone here heard of a mutator called tweaktool? It a nifty tool and BW should have one for it's weapons and stuff. For those of you who dont know its right here. What kinds of new weapons are you going to add? Let see what other people has to say. I don't think Runestorm will quit. You've already said something similar in another thread and was denounced which means that BW is alive |

I remember i saw a thread at page 4, where SB mentioned TC. It was on July 2007, maybe they changed it. (ops, can i say this? ).

BW is not dead. Far from it. Very far from it. SB is referring to ShadowBlade, one of the Developers, and TC is likely referring to a Total Conversion, basically a new game using the same engine. |

Uhm I thought someone said the developers had stoped working on it. :/ There have hardly been any word in the bw 2.1 section from them. Even though people have reported problems/suggestions with it. |

Is the tweaktool idea be too hard to do? |

All I'm asking for is stabilize conflict mode. And perhaps add a infinite ammo checkbox for the arena mutator. |

I think the current BW is a lot more user friendly than tweak tool. BW has separate tabs and sections as well as loads of easy to use options. I think adding more and more options would actually make the menus more confusing. By the way, BW is not dead. Not only are there multiple people making content, myself included, but we still have a community and the devs are still working. |

Not at all. But an official implementation would create server side problems. Because every person has their idea of weapon balance, it'd be hard to find something you like. So it is best to make the numbers hardcoded so everyone gets the same. But all hope is not lost. See the BW Mods section in these forums? There one releases BW mods that are not made by the developers. This can be weapon backs or extra features, or simply changed numbers. If you want a tweaktool made, then you can simply make it yourself if you got what it takes in terms of uscript knowledge. Or ask someone a very big favor.

I dont play online since I cant find any servers.
Maybe when anyone plays online their options turn into default. BW already has a lot of configurable settings so when someone plays online how is it going to match? Like weapon damage stable jump/sprint, reloading, recoil? The problem for me is when I turn up the damage scale to make the weaker weapons stronger the already strong weapons gets too strong and the grenade damage radius doesnt increase so it's you don't get injured at all from a grenade or you die. Another problem is that the m900 is too weak and there isnt much d. radius, i mean i launched a grenade into this bots face and he survived and this is a grenade launcher, not a grenade lobber, I wish the m900 grenade would go farther. Furthermore, in real life GLs eject out empty G shell. shouldn't the M900 do the same?
In other games like Cod4, CS, etc, the shoguns reloads and cocks really fast which is something I like. I've been tempted to edit BW myself by I don't want to screw it up. I heard that you can decompile the U files with Unreal Ed. I don't know how to do this
I'm sure you guys know how crysis works right, you can do a lot of things with your weapons, you can mount a scope on a shogun, mount flashlights on any weapon you choose, choose between different types of scopes, etc. This is all configured during gameplay. In BW you can't really configure as much as crysis. Why am I saying this? Well I really like the MRS138 shogun light and I wish you can add that on the weapons of you choice |

The server creator will decide the settings to be used, if there will reloading, stable jumping, etc. etc. But if weapon properties were configurable, as I said above, would mean every server has their idea of weapon balance. So you may not find any server of your liking. Hell, maybe you'll find servers with some really crazy setup like pistols doing thousands of damage per shot. This would work in Instant Action, but not online, simple as that. |

I have no idea how uscript modding goes. But I'm pretty sure you have to decompile the BW U file that contains the weapon data with UEd. |

Did it say that when trying to install it or after installing it? If it said that when you clicked it to install it, its likely a corrupt download. Try it again, keeping track of what the file sizes are. If it seems too small for file size, it probably is. |

It didnt seem like it needs installation, when I clicked on the file it says what program would you like to open it with. The file is about 4 mb, kinda small |

An error like this could be caused by a missing dll, or you are using a non-Win32 OS. (x86 application programming has been around since Windows 95, so that is probably not the reason) |

Lemme redownload it again this Monday and see what some of the possible problems could be and then I'll get back to you. Its been a while since I last installed it. |

Alright, apparently UDE is a UMod. Unfortunate... Look for a UMod extractor, there may be a link floating around RS. That can pull out the files for you. I think the files go in the system folder. |
