Before 2.0 came out, scopes on weapons that had scopes (Railgun, SRS900, G5 RL, Sniper, Plasmarifle ect ect.) were somewhat much smoother to use and you could get the scope right away, anytime you want it to come.

Now in BW2.0 and over, I find it rather annoying to get my scope busted out because theres somekind of nasty delay that prevents me from using the scope first and makes it cumbersome and annoying to use generally. Same goes to iron sights on all guns.
Please revert it or give an option to remove this said delay so I could zoom and ironsight my gun like the UT's lightning gun. Fast and no twichyness unlike now.

yeah, the scopes/ironsights are slow. I don't like instant like the Ut sniper, but it could be faster.

It should be a lot faster but not instant

Ironsights could be instant though, they dont give you much zooming anyways.

As for the scope, how about this: It would react to your request for the scope instantly, but the time on getting the scope in your face would be a longer. That would balance it nicely.

The thing about ironsights that i hate the most is that the front sight of the gun doesnt align with the back sight. i dont really worry about the engaging sights

I've gotten most of them aligned, but it's sadly not possible with all weapons without some bad clipping or other problems. Ideally, I'd change all of the weapon animations to make it simpler, but I don't have any experience in animation.

So, on the subject of scope speed, we're talking about CoD4 kinda speed... 1/4 to 1/2 second to get scope up?

Pretty much. Right now the default number is about 0.8 seconds, which is way too long considering the game's pace.

How did you do it? Better yet is your mod downloadable?

Oh, yes there is a way to make iron sights faster. Just engage in ironsights, press crouch and move around, fire off a few shots. Now disengage in iron sights and engage in them again. IT should be faster but it usually doesnt work on the first try so do it a few times until it works.

You have to modify the SightOffset and SightPivot values in the weapons to align the sights with the crosshairs. My mod isn't available for the general public at the moment, as there's a lot of things I want to do with the weapons first, and I want to make sure everything I do there actually works.
