OK this is not really a problem which is about BW, but hey this is the Support zone so I guess it will be OK... So heres my Problem:I´ve been to Ireland a day ago and I gought UT3 there(Because it is Cut in Germany) So now I want to install it and everything works fine until roughly 2/3 of the installation. Then I get a Pop Up which tells me that the .cab File "Data5" is corrupt and because of that i can not continue the installation. I tried it 2 times more but surprise it was not working....Jiiiha... So I thought "Hey maybe I could just repair the .cab file, like i can do with .rar or .zip files... So I search for a program that could repair .cab´s....but wow, somebody seems to hate me:The prog is for free, but only the demo version, which means the thing just tells me taht it has reapaired the file but to get the new file i have to pay 15 bucks for the full version... So...anyone knows anything? Please! I ahve to play this game!

I'd say it all depends on how bad you want to play it. If you really want to play it, the 15 extra bucks might be worth it. |

Well, there is an option that is technically legal, but is illegal nonetheless. Now, I'm not encouraging or even suggesting that you would want to find a torrent for a full UT3 installer and then use your key, but it could be a potential possibility. After all, buying the game and legally obtaining the key gives you the right to have the game installed on your computer, right? Another option that I actually would suggest would be to call the retailer and ask what your options are. If I understand you correctly, you bought the game through normal and legal channels, but you got a crappy disk or install file. It's not your fault and you paid good money, so your retailer should feel obliged to help you. |
