If you think BW should be made for UT3 what is your main reasons? Curious. I wonder if the extra graphics are enough. I feel like the biggest thing to add would be normal maps which I don't care too much about since it's the weapons that are the big thing in this mod, and I prefer if mecanichal stuff has real geometry. What say you?

NO. I'd kill somebody if BW was ported to UT3. That piece of shit doesn't deserve an awesome mod such as BW.

If any game deserves BW, it's FarCry 2, but their stupid devs won't release the source code, so bollocks to that idea.

I patiently await the day when BW is an ACTUAL stand-alone game and we're the ones doing mods for it.

something i like about ut3 is that mappers are making maps with more sense, and could fit for bw. in UT2004 it's all those arenas without sense, but in UT3 people are making lots of urban places.

I'm curious if Epic will make a UT3.5, like ut2004 was to ut2003.

BW better come to UT3, it is a freaken boring ass game without it. BW is great, but DK is right UT3 is a P.O.S. The UI is the horible part, the pesron(s) who did the pc UI needs his ass kicked. If BW cam out as a seperate FPS, I would totaly buy it.

That's what I didn't like about the UT3 maps in the demo, they were real life places. UT is no such game. It should have game maps like Quake 3. UT is not ment to give some real life war feel like Battlefield or such, it's a pure game-game.

in ut2004 I feel that those arena maps are all the same. that why i don't like 'em. maybe it's because BW is realistic, so I prefer realistic maps.
but In ut3 we have better graphics, so more effects to BW. and we have physics now. physics is really cool(play DM-blockland to see UT3 physics).
if RS ever make some maps to UT3, I suggest them to make some desctructible areas.

My 2 cents:
I would think that if one were to port BW to UT3, some major modifications would need to be done. UT3 has its own style, which is awsome in its own right for people who are not too religious about Halo-style or CoD-style warfare tactice. It's simple move a lot and shoot anything that moves with strategic planning limited mainly to no more than 10 seconds in anticipation. At some LAN parties, I have concluded that BW is much more enjoyable if reload is disabled, recoil and inaccuracy are decreased to <20%, and the damages are brought down a little bit. That was for UT04. UT3 is even more hectic and rushed, so I would think that BW would definately not work well in UT3 unless the weapon behavior is modified.

The RS weapon mods for UT3 are a great step in the right direction. The RS team decided to focus on making weapons that fit well with the UT3 gameplay instead of trying to make weapons that would fit RS' vision of good gameplay functionality, as I think was done for BW in UT04 (but kudos to RS for adding checkboxes and sliders all over the place in BW).

If BW gets ported to UT3, It should have all the options it had, because the customization was one of the reaons that BW was sucessful.

I'm pretty sure that this type of thread has been made several times before, but since I'm posting, I might as well voice my opinion.

I'd have to say that I would love to see BW for Crysis. Not only is Crysis such a beautiful game, but the mechanics for BW are already included in the game.

im getting kinda board with thoses stock weapons and the fact those weapons are remakes of weapons iv used a million times in UT99. the reason i loved BW is the weapons and it felt differnt then the UT2
stockwepons and more customiseble.

If UT3 had BW, no doubt it will enhance the gameplay by tenfolds and UT3 will be reborn.

On the Other hand, UT3 has major asinine flaws in it, like poor installation and real crappy model installation, even if UT3 had BW, it wouldn't change squat.

I wouldn't be rally happy to see BW in a already realistic game. what's the sense to make the M50, if there's already another assault rifle?it would make Bw look like just a "expansion" with only weapons. It is good in Ut2004 because it was not only weapons, but a new gameplay to the game, and it can be either a arena shooter or a realistic shooter.
besides, UT series have a wide range of gametypes(well, not so much in UT3, but the community already made Domination, Invasion, BR, etc for it), so you can't get really bored. other "realistic games" normally only have a story mode and few gametypes, so you can get bored someday.
besides, UT3 has good graphics(ok, so much bloom, I know), and has a great community. also, UT3 has the MSUC. so Runestorm can get some $ from it too, and maybe even a UE3 license. maybe with this they make their own game, which is something we all want, no?

Be cool But would Need weapon Balance (configurable thru an ini)....You cannot take a tank out with 4 shots of a SHotgun, Nor can you Kill a Paladin with a Knife.
