Okay, so I go into the swapping menu of ballistic weapons on any gamemode, I hit 'fill' and uncheck the junkwars weapons, then I launch the map. The weapons don't switch. So I go back out and check the menu.

The settings aren't saved. If I set it up, hit OK, exit the game and launch it again, it doesn't save the settings.

What I want is every original weapon to randomly switch to another BW weapon. I have no clue what's changed since this stopped working. I believe I reinstalled BWBP4 because it wasn't working.

So far I've reinstalled my entire game, deleted my UT2004.ini and rebuilt it, and deleted my BW main ini and rebuilt it. Same results.

Edit: Even manually clicking boxes doesn't save.

Hm, try deleting or modifying your .ini files by hand.

That will definitely do the trick.

What I did was take an ini file from an older UT install on one computer, I know it only had BW2.1 and not BP4, and dropped it onto the other computer.

I believe it worked, if only temporarily. When I tried to manually enable the BP4 weapons, it reset to defaults and I was back at square 1.

I remember that I was supposed to open up an editor and open up a file to get a complete list of weapon names. What file is that?

What mod install method did you use? I did:
junk wars latest beta
BWmod 2.00
BWmod 2.01
BWBP 4

with the .zips, my ut4mods don't work.

You need to install:

JW1
BW2
BW2.1
BWBP4

As for the ini of BW... delete the BWCache.ini entirely, along with BallisticV21.ini, as that should resolve errors in those. Don't worry, BW will rebuild those automatically when you load up a map when playing with BW, or just opening the BW configs in the mutator menus.

So is this the right junk wars version? http://www.runestorm.com/download.php?list.6 It's what I got.

I'll go hit bwcache and ballistic21.ini....and in game set the following:
Turn on in game rules:
Keep super weapons
bright pickups
bright players
stable jump/spring
no long gun shifting
no rogue weapon pickups
disable reloading

No modifications in preferences
All disabled in blood.

Swapping takes an oddly long time to load up. I hit 'fill' on the shield gun only, and am trying the game then seeing if the settings saved. :beg:

Dangit, no dice. What should I do next? (server packages are set as instructed on the runestorm sticky, btw) :banghead:

Okay, I manually deleted my old UT game and pulled a known working copy with BWmod 2.1 installed, but not BP4. It worked, but when I installed BP4 it screwed up. It does not have junk wars.

Any clues?

If someone could post up their UT2004.ini I'd really appreciate it. I suspect this is where my problem is.

Any other .ini's I could have screwed up, that you have working, would be appreciated.

Sorry for the late reply, but here you go.

This file is a heavily modified file though. If you have my weapon pack you'll need to change BWBPRecolors3 to BWBPRecolors2.
