I played a lot of BW before 2.5 and I just got it. I installed and when I tried to load out different weapons, MANY of the previous BW weapons (P90 looking gun, RPG7, and SR9000) are gone. They come up as "non bw weapons" and their preview image is blurry and enlarged. When I try to change the loadouts for the weapons available, the check boxes become selected after I deselect them. I try to remove a certain sidearm and that weapon gets selected in the check box next to it. Like I said the various bw mods and bonus packs from 2.0 onward I installed and was able to use all weapons available. Now I can't. What do I do to fix this? |

As far as i know, Most of the bonus packs need to be rewritten for BW2.5 (most likely just changing some references). Some are already corrected, so you should redownload them. Also, make sure that you removed previous bw and bw related stuff before you installed bw2.5. other then that, i don't know. |

An uninstall .bat file came with BW 2.5, run that and then put 2.5 on again, it will remove all previous versions of BW only content, leaving you with a clean install..  BW 2.5 comes with all previous versions of BW included, but any non-RS packs are not guaranteed to work with it...

you have to download the latest jack carver pack as well, otherwise you won't have any RPG 7, P90 and such |

I uninstalled my ut2004 entirely and started adding in BW. I installed 2.0 first, 2.1, then bonus packs 1 through 4 in that same order. Then Installed SgtKelly bonus pack 8. When I go to the swapping section and check box the weapons I want (1 for each category) and then ok, and play, the weapons are hit and miss. I get weapons that I didn't check showing up. I go back to the mutator settings and double check if those weapons are there and they aren't. I want to sort this out before I check out the new version. |

I don't know about V8, but Sarge's weapon pack is no longer compatible or supported with BW 2.1, you have to install BW 2.5. Same goes for any mod that is updated to be BW 2.5 compatible. As was said above the community made bonus content uses a lot of references to BW content, these references are now pointing to BW 2.5 packages which obviously do not exist in 2.1. Run the uninstall BW bat file, install BW 2.5 and the the latest versions of the two weapon packs (Sarge's is in the V9 release candidate stage, grab that instead of V8.) you play with. It will work if you do things correctly. And for the record I never got the swapper to work right myself. I'm now happily using Loadout. |
