Post subject:  Radeon fix for gore FX related crashes?

1.Thank you guys so much for the sweet weapons. ;D
2.Was there ever a fix for running Bloody Hell as a solo mutator with a radeon card? I can play about 3 matches with Bloody Hell on before UT crashes. I'm running latest / patched version of 2k4. From suggestion at the epic forum I tried re-saving the textures as dxt1 files but to no avail.

I'm running with a Radeon card and have not experienced this. Could you post a crash log for it?

I don't know if you read that and tried that but I heard, that this only happens with screen blood turned on... turning it off may be a workaround for the issue therefore. :think:

Crashed after 2 gloriously bloody matches, using the Bloody Hell mutator and worm armory (ut3 weapons with Halo pistol, UC link and Best of Unreal sniper gun). Crashes also happen using Ballistic Weapons and with stock ones. ENB series is running but that seems stable enough w/out Bloody Hell running. I remember some crashes before using ENB...

at Barionyx: Hi! ;D ... screen blood is about the only part of the BW gore I don't prefer, so that was always off.

Thanks for responding guys... Maybe it is God telling me to play less UT? Or simply that He prefers Giblicious? :think:

after recently reinstalling 2k4 & cutting back from a 32 gig install to a 18 gig install, I had to try this again ...
turning town the decal stay setting to .1, I still get occasional crashes, but much more liveable, and I can leave all other settings on (screen blood doesn't seem to matter) :banana-dance:

edit: .3 actually
I think part of the crash issue may have been mixing bw into worm, then weapon switching
it would have trouble switching sometimes, playing all bw or none seems more stable

edit: running just 2.0 and not the later versions seems more, if not completely, stable. less weapons?
the gore is different?

**also, I upped my cache size to 64 and turned triple buffering to True .... Bloody Hell is just about perfect now (game only crashes about as much as without ), and runs smoother in general. All the blood... it is soooo beautiful XD
