Hi there, Been a massive fan of your mods since discovering them and frankly up until recently I've had no problems whatsoever with BW. However, after installing Sgt Kelly's bonus pack v9 and it's subsequent patch 9.2 I've been experiencing frequent crashes. Most come down to the following: OS: Windows NT 6.0 (Build: 6001) CPU: GenuineIntel PentiumPro-class processor @ 3023 MHz with 2047MB RAM Video: ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series (700) Assertion failed: model [File:.\KScript.cpp] [Line: 78] History: AActor::preContactUpdate <- KUpdateContacts <- KTickLevelKarma <- TickAllActors <- ULevel::Tick <- (NetMode=0) <- TickLevel <- UGameEngine::Tick <- Level Trite <- UpdateWorld <- MainLoop <- FMallocWindows::Free <- FMallocWindows::Realloc <- 10910191 0 FArray <- FArray::Realloc <- 0*2 <- FMallocWindows::Free I am in no way knowledgeable on this matter and have done everything from reducing the amount of ingame mods to reducing the amount of BW used ingame. Nothing has worked to rid me of these pesty crashes. I play mostly team deathmatch and capture the flag games. All offline and still these crashes persist. I hope you guys can help me out on this one. Thanks in advance. |

What happens before it crashes? Is a certain weapon being used before hand? If there's any more info you can give that'd be great. |

Actually it happens randomly. For example the crash happened a few times right after a match started, and other times during a fire fight. Recently, I've removed even more weapons and the first match after that was stable , but the second and third match crashed eventually. At this point I cannot give you more precise information. I'll be on the lookout though. Thanks for replying. |

Well, it says something with Karma, so the fault could lie with ragdolls... What other mutators do you use and do you use any player models with custom skeleton such as Magdalena, Efiggy, Deinonychus or similar? |

I use Magdalena and the ABA server suports it. I use v25, SK, JK, and, I don't have any problums. I only play online. |

Well, that might be where the problem lies, I installed alot of custom models and other models. I also use a custom mod that when you take some damage you turn into a ragdoll with first person view from the head. I really like that mod so it would be a shame if that was the cause. I have played a few matches without that mod and the crashes still occured. Interesting to note is I let Unreal choose the characters for the match I.E. I haven't got custom team enabled and it still in every match uses the battle droid characters from star wars I The Phantom Menace (IB 2000 OOM-800 etc). That might be because it's such a large character pack. |

Ah, the ragdoll madness by Kognefaure. That's what I've guessed. Okay, so I recommend trying out a few matches making use of the bot roster and only adding player models that make use of the standard skeletons (i.e. Human, Skaarj, GenMoKai...) and see if the error still occurs. It might have to do with some player models and not Ragdoll madness in particular...

Yes indeed, Ragdoll Madness is the embodiment of what I longed for ever since I discovered ragdoll physics coincidentally in UT2004. I actually have deleted the star wars battle droids and have played I guess about four matches afterwards and NONE crashed, given the past crashes that's a 100% success rate. *Update Karma came along and smacked me in the face. Now this one definitely is a ragdoll related crash. Though I never had any problems with the battledroids... Do you have other custom skeleton models such as the krall from Yourpackages Ut3 models? They caused errors for me when confronted with skeletizing weapons. (link gun, BW Flamethrower...) Also, did you enable "Force ballistic pawn"? That could cause errors too. |

Oh yeah. If I remember correctly Ragdoll Madness had an issue with ragdolls falling into damage zones (like lava, acid, and pits o' doom). Try playing maps without those features. I think your crashes will be less frequent. |

IIRC Kognefaure fixed that when he updated the mod some time ago (thereby also incorporating the first-person-view-while-ragdolled-feature), but let's see what deathdealer reports... |

That's very possible. I haven't looked into it for a couple years. In fact I'm having trouble finding where to even download the latest version.

I think I am going to play a few matches, write down all the bots involved and report which of the matches ended with a crash. I'll do this and check if I have force pawn enabled. By the way, thank you guys for being this involved with solving the problems. Another by the way, I love lava, acid and pits of doom. Another shame if these environmental threats cause the crashes. |
