Post subject:  Question about the gore system

I want to ask how exactly the gore system of BW works cause I've been getting a major problem with the stumps spawning in weird origins that look unrealistic but I don't know how to system finds what limb got dismembered and how it attaches the stumps

This is an example of the weird origins that I'm talking about

I think the problem here is the stump on the head needs to attach to the bone CHR_Neck and not CHR_Head, the rest are probably the same way especially with the spine cause there are 3 spine bones

AFAIK the stumps are attached where the bones are located, so skeleton-specific. This means that for custom skeletons the stump positions can be weird because they were made to fit with the UT2004 standard skeletons.

The KF bone system is very similar to UT2004s but the thing that confuses me is the bone names in the code lfarm and such these bone names do not exist so how does it know this bone is LForeArm?

lfarm doesn't refer to a bone, but a socket (specifically, its AttachAlias), which can be considered a hardpoint offset from a particular bone.

Ahh I see this is interesting, KF pretty much uses the exact same names for its sockets so I may need to revise the gore system, make the stump attach to the neck bone instead of head bone and etc
