I've installed the drunk walk patch, but if you use the WoRM weapon replacement mut the vomit-inducing effects are still there. Am I missing something, or does the patch only work with Ballistic's own muts? If so, could this perhaps be fixed in the next release, so that 1.5 style walking / shooting is the 'hardcoded' default? WoRM is a great replacement mut and I always use it, and it would be a shame if it essentially became incompatible with Ballistic (the new effects make me physically sick, can't play like this). |

Wierd... The setting should work no matter how you got the gun. To save the BW options, you got to go to the mut config or gametype rules, disable the drunk walk option then start/play that game... Then, the setting should be saved everywhere... Sorry about this lousy way of doing the options so they would show up in teh mut config and game rules area... BUT, for v1.7, the problem is fixed! We have made a universal options menu for BW and your settings will be saved as soon as you click OK now. Also, the options are all saved properly and it is much simpler toadd a new option to BW now, plus since the settings don't have to be passed around and require a config var in every gametype, it is much more bug free! If you got problems right now, this horrible console command might help: "set mut_ballistic bUseViewAim false". Don't worry about caption and I'm not sure if that's all right... It will only take effect when you get a new weapon or spawn or drop and pickup... |

Well, it seems to be working now. I played a couple of games using the main Ballistic mut, turned the drunk feature on & off a couple of times, and when I tried WoRM again the problem was fixed. Anyway, while fooling around with both muts I noticed something else: with Ballistic's own replacement mut, the pistol has 12 + 24 starting ammo. With WoRM, it only has 12, so no extra clips. Not sure whether the other guns are supposed to have extra pickup ammo, but in WoRM matches you get just one clip. It's no big deal really, but I thought I'd mention it anyway. Oh, and the bots seemed a lot dumber (standing around etc.) when I used the Ballistic mut, guess they don't handle that particular weapon config too well... I've never had any non-matching ammo pickup issues with WoRM, btw. On a totally unrelated note, I really like the pistol's new laser effects! Very nice. I'm scoring a lot of pistol kills nowadays.

WoRMs are stupid. :P
But the mutator is bug free as far as I know, and that is why it is a good idea to look at the code of it to see what the Ballistic mutator is doing wrong. |

We could make a nice clean and bug free weapon swap mutator, BUT it would not give you everything! It would find a UT weapon, replace it and all its ammo with a Ballistic weapon and ammo. Then it would do the same for the all other UT guns... Problem: There are only 9 ut weapon pickups... You'd get 9 BW guns in each map...(assuming the maps actually have all UT weapons to start with) Anyway, we're trying to make it work properly for v1.7... |

Yes, that is a problem, but that is what custom maps are for.

I think we need a BW map with a realistic setting, what about an old monastery in ruins and the weather is snowy and cold? |

we really want to do some nice maps, but i've got to make e'm quality.. at the moment my most undeveloped skill is level design.. i managed to get a couple of maps yesterday, and was looking at the quality.. better than UT in most cases actually, and what we need to get ours up to:) i'll work a bit more on maps soon, and we actually have our smaller brother Logan working on maps now as well! our big release after 1.7 should have several maps!B) |

Great!
But talking about bunch of maps, wouldn´t the filesize start to get a bit crazy? When the maps are becoming a large collection, I suggest putting them into a seperate ZIP to keep mod updates in lower filesize. |
