The devs did not want to get too complicated with the UT3 stuff...they are still learning and experimenting with it...the character was done for the MSUC, so it had to be good overall, rather than a lot of fancy things that don't work well.

I'm sure others characters will come in time...

(SB here) I'm not sure a Skrith is going to be made for a while.. We've got to do some work, and then there'll be a news update on whats happening

Besides, it ruins the whole appeal of skrith if you can just see them as any other player model. Ruin the entire thing. The first time you should see the skrith is through the corner of your screen, face down with a pair of blades sticking through your chest. Then it'd actually mean something.
