hi, just registered here to give you some feedback on the new Lightening Gun your team created for Ut3, I was a huge fan of the Ballistics mod for Ut2k4 and am pleased that you have moved to the next generation of Unreal game. Your modifications are among the highest quality content available. I already have one minor thing to point out however - just from the screenshot I can see that the Lightening gun does not have its own icon, and that the Shock-rifle still is displayed on the HUD. I'm no coder, or modder - so I can't tell how difficult it would be to implement, however just that added level of polish would be fantastic. I will report back with some in-game feedback shortly. |

Its pretty much a issue with UT3, changing the HUD, will cause incompatibility issues with any other mutator that affects the HUD. Its really gay and lame, RS is trying to figure out a workaround, which i'm sure they'll figure out in time. |

Ah, I see. Well it isn't that big of an issue, in the end you probably won't notice. I just got back from testing - and wow, this is a thousand times better than anything achieved with Ballistic Weapons - and I thought that [BW] was perfect! Its an insane weapon - massively powerful. But the thing I like is that it isn't impossible to beat someone who has it - the main stream of electricity is by no means stable, and therefore can be avoided unless it latches onto you. The model is flawless, the sounds are on par and above those of Ut3.It has a unique feel to it, and is an excellent piece of work - a tip of that hat to the RS team! |

thank you! 
i played the RealWeapons mod, and they replaced the HUD pic. we didn't do that, coz any other weapons in that slot, eg: Biorifle, would have the new icon as well.. it's a hack, and will break compatibility.. it's not a nice proffesional work-around  hopefully in new UT3 patches..

iv not got it but couldnt you do it by having a total replacement mod for it then you could choose th pics and everything yep sure it ould take time but once in it would be a perfect platform |

Hi everybody ! I've just downloaded both weapon mods, Thor and Bulldog, and I am quite impressed. Very nice work you've done here ! I particularly appreciate the Lightning Gun, it's very fun to play with it, carrying people around in your beam 
The only glitch I had with those mods is that the language strings were not detected properly. I run a French localized version of UT3, and apparently it searches for french strings. I thought that, in the absence of french language strings, it would use international strings instead, but apparently it does not work like that. I tried to copy the .int files in the /int directory into a new /fra directory, renamed them to .fra, and then it worked. But it did not integrate nicely with the rest of the game, that is completely in french. So I thought : "hey, those people spent a lot of time developping those mods, and you're using this amazing work for free. Maybe it's time to add your little contribution." So I took an hour to translate both language files into french, and debug the traduction. It's by no mean perfect, but I'm quite satisfied with this translation. I've attached the files to this post, feel free to include them in the next release. And many thanks for your awesome work on those mods ! have to say you guys ♥♥♥♥♥ rock at making some of the best high quality mods out there specially for the new unreal3,also another thing thats unrelated to rs is i cant wait to see how that new chaos mod for ut3 plays out |
