Ahh, the M249 of the future... and as created by only some of the finest weapons designers! Edit: Noticed that at least one of the views of the weapon shows it oriented in a mirror image. I can tell due to the chain of bullets! |

are the barrels "off"? looks like they spin... Got to say I love the detail
Raziel P.S The skull symbol on the handle reminds me of a bolter's skull symbol |

It seems the XMV-850 got it on with either the M353 or the M925, either way it's sexy as hell. |

*backs away from SX* Anyhoo I like it (not quite as much as SX). I'm tempted to get a better computer and buy UT3 for this mod... I'm gonna be getting a new comp soon so I might as well... Raziel P.S Sorry SX, but you walked into that one

You guys make me regret having deleted my UT3 and leave no space to reinstall it (other games are currently eating up my HDD). =( |

thanks guys It has a Heavenly style to it yep. And 3 spinning barrels indeed!
With all the weapons in this pack, we used up more than 13GB's with all the content. More than 200 sounds. You'll want to uninstall any unused game for this one And get the required PC too
Ammo count, is over 100 Still, it shouldn't be far oof

*`* toggle godmodmode *enter* You feel awesome! *`* Yep. that's how they do it. They're way over powered if you ask me.
And this gun. This gun is a freaking beast. One of my favourites. It's sooo freaking sexy. By the way, you guys will definitely find a reason to play UT3 again before too long.

This weapon gives me too much of a reason to spend two grand on a new rig. Seriously, 13 gb on all of these current weapons with sounds, etc? Wow. I see awards and plenty of them coming RS's way. |

The 13 GB number is just the unpublished content as far as I know, a mod would never get this big today, even commercial games are still in their 10s. |

yes thats the content that went into making all the stuff, not the actual published version Many, many millions of polygons as well, but that matters for little these days It's 280-380 MB's for a single raw diffuse texture and a mesh for rendering can easily get to 1GB..
At any rate, it's not far off now, should be a final size of about 50MB's If all goes well.

I was referring to the size and scope of the Crucible Project. I'm really stunned by how large this project is. What will you guys do with the spare's left over after all the designing, animating, modeling, etc? Will you leave it for future projects?

Awesome like always. How many weapons do you plan to release at start? |

Spares? What spares?
All that space is for Normal maps, Ambient Occlusion Maps, Cavity Maps, large raw mesh files, large raw texture files, etc.. Polygons are like water now.. The numbers really don't matter.. exmple one of our guns used over 13 million polys(quads) for a fews skulls on it
Still, all that 13GB's only adds upto a final download of just over 50 MB's in a .zip. Quite efficient

At this rate RS will soon need a tower of about 10, 500.GB hardrives.. I used to think 20.GB was alot.. Thats only one or so weapons, or character... Of for TerraByte drives.. that might last a bit longer.. |

>.< I got a new 750GB hdd but the partition with UT3 on it is the one from my old 180GB so I can't really go mod-mad because there isn't enough space for essentials and mods... |

![]() Yup, but we shouldn't give the zip file all the compression credit.

I have to say that that is one mean looking gun. Now all it needs is a sound that can inspire MG42 style fear. |
