RuneStorm :: View topic - Crucilble.. wtf happened?

Back from the grave or somrting.. what have i missed in regards to Crucible? Seems like a bunch of stuff has been added and done up.. Also what on earth is all this UDK crap? I don't get it, isn't TCing off of UT3 the same as the UDK? actually i don't even know what the UDK really is. Been away from UT for almost a year now... so long in fact that I am now on the other side of Canada (in Vancouver now).

So, anyone wanna fill me in while I was gone? Xav, Bjossi?

UDK= Unreal dev. kit. It is, well a dev. kit ontop of the engine. So when The Crucible comes out, it will be a stand alone.

Hey UglyPants! long time no see Anyway, the UDK is a free to use and free to release UnrealEngien 3, that is far better than the UT3 UE3 With it, we can make Crucible (or whatever) a standalone game Crucible is being ported to the UDK right now. We're fixing bugs, and addign a few new features (Gore!), but this is still only the ported edition. We'll see what happens after this port, but the Crucible isn't where it needs to be, so we will for certain be finishing it one day PS: welcome back

Hey may, long time.. Yes as it stands the Crucible is getting a major upgrade with the use of the UDK. Our maps look better than ever before, and we've been lots of new features to it, including and entire UI, and most talked about, the Gore System, which is almost putting the BW gore to shame... As for our other plans, you'll have to wait and see, this year will see some very interesting developments from RS, so keep a close watch, it's gonna be GREAT!.. With the UDK, we now have a whole lot more avenues open to us, so we can try some new, and crazier things..
