Yes they both have a magazine, and no the armor doesn't change it's size or shape depending on it's quality...

The shotgun + RL has got a magasine for its ammo. The armour doesnt change physically for the higher ones, as in the Best should be bigger and stuff. |

well since a shotgun doesn't use a MAG I thought instead you would show a cartage or something. |

Maybe we can have different armor models for a future patch... Anyways, it's purely aesthetic. You won't see your character wear it anyhow. |

Kinda like when you buy ammo for your revolver, it comes in a box, although perhaps vendors of questionable integrity migh give you a handful of shells...
