Post subject:	The Crucible broke my Unreal Tournament. How do I fix?
I can play The Crucible just fine, but anything relating to just regular UT3 is impossible. I try to play a map, it freezes on loading screen. I try to change my character, it freezes. Everything freezes. How do I completely uninstall The Crucible?

Oh, I"m sorry. I searched for a thread on it but couldn't find it. Thank you so much though, worked like a charm. And rest assured that when The Crucible is standalone I'll be one of the first to download it.

I hate to try to post on a topic so old but.... I have this same problem, I can play the Crucible just fine but when I try to run Unreal3 it just wont load. I loaded the task manager and it says Unreal Tournament3 is not responding. Can wait and wait. Then have to end task on the game. I'm only using Crucible 1.1 but that's when I started having problems after the install. Are there any fixes for this? The link that ShadowBlade put up has Page not found on it, I love this mod, but want to play regular Unreal Tournament 3 too. HELP please. Thanks

Hm, the link goes to 404'd page, so i'm not even sure what the fix was. I'm assuming you've patched UT all the way before installing? so far as i know crucible is still a total conversion. to run reg. ut you'd have to find the exe and run it straight from the DIR. Or at least, that's what i recall. could be wrong.

viewtopic.php?f=40&t=76165 Fixed link The only way to play UT3 is to remove the Crucible. I am still waiting on the UDK version.
