Post subject:  Who wants to be a Beta tester?
Well, the happy news is that we are planning to release the Crucible mod to beta testing later this week.
This will be a closed beta for now, so if you are interesting in doing some testing, we would be grateful.
Any volunteers?

Your job will involve playing the mod (as thoroughly as possible) and documenting any issues you find.
You'll be able to report back on this site.

This is a UT3 mod so it requires you to be running UT3 patched to the latest version.

Later on, there will also be BW v2.5 betas so you can also volunteer for those!

"Who wants to be a beta tester" is gonna be so much better than "Who wants to be a millionaire".

How big would the download be? That is the deciding factor as I'm on limited bandwidth shared by the entire family network.

What happens when you run out? You seem very much online, and visiting websites is no less of a download than fetching files. . .

Not really, Surfing Pages, are not very large in size,

But a download of 300MB is a dedicated 300MB file size, which would then add on to all the surfing he has done.

Yep, we need people to play it extensively and report any issues they find.. ;) Hopefully very few.. :D

I meant in the mechanics behind it, downloading a file and website data is more or less the same thing.

Ooh, ooh, me, me! I know I haven't posted lately, but that's because I've been busy. But I feel I can put my life on hold and sacrifice the security of my UT3 installation for this!

Just in case some of you missed the blatantly obvious forum right below this one; beta testing is now open to those who volunteered. The silence is alarming as only TurdDrive and I have tested it so far. Where are you guys? This version is seriously awesome.

I would gladly test the cruicible . I am a big fan of your work from the first versions of Ballistic weapons for ut2004 :)
(Ahh, it seems i am abit late for beta tester, is it still possible to aply for betatesting?)

You're just a bit late for the Crucible testing, but we will have the BW beta up for testing soon, if you're interested in that?
