Dying to play the mod (HUGE Crucible and BBW fan; the only reason why I played UT4k for so long), but it's messing up my game. I have the latest version of UT3: Black Edition installed on Steam. I installed the mod and whenever I tried to load a map in hanged and I had to force the game to close (Not Responding).

I deleted the entire UT3 dir under My Documetns, validated files through Steam to make sure everything was fine, booted the game played and vanilla UT3 for a few rounds and quit. Installed 1.2 again and booted the game, selected the Crucible mutator, tried to load the game, stuck on loading screen (not responding) again. Any ideas?

I'm having the same problem. The log's telling me I'm missing a bunch of missing cached shader maps for things like "material M_CH_Crusader_MainBase".

Ok. I let it sit for like 5-10 min after reading this post (viewtopic.php?f=40&t=76825) and it finally loaded. I have a pretty powerful rig, why would it take so long?

One last question. I see ironsights/scopes in some weapons. Are they there just to look cool or are they actually functinal (how do I zoom?).

Yes, it's called Shader Caching. Something that the UT3 engine does. It sucks, it takes forever. You just have to wait it out. There is no indication of what it's doing either..

You've probably come across this the first time you try an new custom character?

Regarding sights, they're just there to look cool

I have a problem, I installed Crucible v 1.1 who worked well, I have it then totally to delete to put the version 1.2, and mutateurs does not work any more.

What is the solution?

The mutateur RSLightninggun still works with the version 1.2?


Irrelevant: I look for for a long time pack additional for the Galtanor invasion "Davisions's Monsters and Fraegers's Monsters" but everything the links which I find died. If a gentleman has them, he can pass on them to me, or to pass on me a link confirms of download.

I just have a problem with Crucible

These mutateurs :

- CrucibleWeaps
- WingsOfLight
- CrucibleGore
- CrucibleMelee
- CruciblePistolMelee

They do not appear and do not work, where is my error? How the corrected?

Huh? Something must be installed badly.

Reinstall it i advise.

I had that problem when I installed the Titan pack... I think it was fixed by reinstalling it.

It is good!


I corrected the error, I removed files:

- CxGame.int
- CxUI.int
- UTCxGame.int
- UTGameUI.int

Present in: UTGame -> Published -> CookedPC -> RuneStom -> CxGame

And I ais put in:

- UTGame -> Localization -> INT

Now that works perfectly
