Can't get ANYTHING in UT3 to work

Post subject:  Can't get ANYTHING in UT3 to work
I am having an issue after downloading the 1.2 version. I can't load anything in UT3 that qualifies as a map. I've heard that it is caching, but is that one-time, or every time? So all I do is let it sit and eventually it loads? I dont really have much of a problem with that if It's a one-time thing, but...if I have to do that every time, that just sucks. So I tried setting the bUseCash=false but it doesn't help. Do I need to also set the CashScaling to something? Is that supposed to be 100000 instead of 1? Also, I can't do ANYTHING in UT3, can't change character, can't play a stock CTF map without any mutators, can't do anything on anything that qualifies as a map (when you change your character you do enter a sort of character view map).

Whats going on???

Yep a LOOOONNGGG time sorry but its the bad side of ut3

it took me about 15 mins it'll probably be shorter for you though ;D

if you want to know why its because ut3 caches all the shaders and it takes quite a while because it has alot of them ;D

but when its done loading you wont have to wait that long again so thats good ;D

I waited and its definatly worth it for all the gore ;D

yes I just did that, sorry I didnt respond sooner :) yes it did take about 15 minutes, but you only have to do that once! then it never has to again (unless you reinstall or something)
