Another weapon I made in an hour, and also based on the model I did for the AK74 (the FY74 thread). It's meant to be a precision rifle of sorts, although it's far from being finished really for the true precision rifle version. So... this might be considered to be the non-accurized version of the gun ATM.

Looks nice  I think it would be good if you made it sort of like the halo battle rifle, with the handle and the scope. |

The point of this gun was to actually make for another gun in the R9's class (well.... subclass). It'd be interesting to have a few more unscoped sniping weapons... Since this gun is a bit different than the other models I've done on the barrel, it's also a higher caliber (12.4x57mm). About the only thing I could try to add to the gun is the accurizing of certain parts to make them a bit more.... useful towards sniping with ironsights. BTW, would you like to skin my weapons once I can get someone to UV map them? |

This is a bullpup precision rifle (I define these as sniper rifles without the scopes). The Bullpup AR is a thread or two down (SFp-66). Then there's the normal version: FY74. Soon, I'm also going to model out an SMG-ish version of the FY74 and call it the FY74-M/SR. |

Just a heads up, 12.7x99mm is the .50 Cal BMG. 12.4x57mm is just .3mm less in diameter. I don't know if a 50 cal bullpup would be such a good idea. : P |

So? It's a bullpup precision rifle. You aren't firing in full auto, just semi-auto. That much shorter length also makes the bullet a lot less powerful due to a smaller charge. Really, the bullet is good for anti-infantry then, and never vehicles. Or at least that's my theory behind a slightly-less-than-50-cal-and-almost-half-the-50-cal-BMG-length type bullet.. |
