Looky at what I'm working on .

It only has about 20 minutes of work in it. Hopefully I will get it to look less boxy. I do need some ideas for secondary fire and special fire. As always suggestions and advice on it is much appreciated.

Nice for 20 minutes of work! Secondary fire... bayonet? We don't have all that many weapons with melee ability really...

Hmm not bad not bad, Secondary fire would differ on all the specs of the weapon. If its going to more of a rifle than a machine gun/sub machine gun than i would suggest Iron sight as the secondary fire mode (like the ranger rifle).

If the weapon will have a faster rate of fire maybe a bayonet Like OCAdam suggested, either that or maybe a sweep kinda fire mode where the gun holder would automatically turn the gun left and right firing at the same time to clear an area with out the user (us) manually doing it ourselves.

I say alt fire should just be a simple whack with the stock of the gun. Simple, effective, and the AK-47 is just perfect for it.

Gah! i dont know which to decide, i always love to smash in heads with a stock, but for me, an AK with a bayonet just seems so natural.... i'm gonna have to go with a bayonet

why not make one of the specials for the AK-47 to add the bayonet onto the rifle (like the silencer on some weapons) and then when you use the alt fire with the bayonet it would lunge, if not than just make it a stock bash (thats faster than the bayonet lunge)

I have some old weapon pack, that has a hunting rifle with a bayonet. For some reason, using it costs bullets, Please dont make that mistake

That is a good idea, having both melee types. Guess I need to add a rail for the bayonet to go on.

Remote Strike, i love using the Gauss Hunting Rifle, but using ammo to thrust with a bayonet is just plain stupid, and i find it interesting that the bullets take time to hit their destination

Maybe instead of the standard bayonet, make it a double bladed one.

Ok regarding the bayonet I thought it would be fair to make the stock smash do a area damage like the knife. Just having the enemy in front of you will hurt them. However, with the bayonet it is a stab, doing more damage but only to one target. Any other ideas would be welcomed but some balance regarding stock and bayonet is need.

Knifes in order of picture
One vertical and one horizontal
2 knifes side by side
1 big knife
It could be thought why don't you swing the last two choices to do an area damage instead of stabbing.

Definitely gotta go with the single blade. Can't beat a working system.

Melee bash should knock enemies back, have a higher minimum damage, little lower max damage, while the stab will not knock people back much, have a lower minimum damage, higher max damage.

At least, thats my suggestion.

I like the vert and horiz blade style. It looks more unique, and seems to be something that'd do a bit more damage to a person realistically, although it'd be definitely a stab-only type configuration.

i would sticxk with the single blade, with both types of attacks.

Pretty sweet models btw, and sweet bayonets too

i liek the single blade, that way you can both stab and slash

Post subject:  Re: Model in progress

2 blades side-by-side, a little bit farther apart from each other. For slashing and stabbing fun.
