I've been working on this for about 3 days now, on and off by the hour. Anyways, this is another of my weapons I created off of some of my weapon concept art designs I make every once in a while. Quite simply, it's a drum-fed automatic shotgun with a small twist: it's incendiary. |

I think realistically, the design wouldn't be terribly effective, but I really love the concept. Sorta like a flame thrower, sorta like a shotgun, but not quite either. I would assume the range for this thing would be rather low, right? Does kinda look like it could fit into the SMG slot, even though it is a shotgun. Would make a good dual wieldable. Only complaint I can say about the model is that the butt of the stock kinda looks unfinished. A little too blocky for my taste. Past that, this would be something I'd love to animate one day. ![]() By the way, where does the fuel to the pilot light come from? |

Thanks guys. I can fix up the stock to look a bit better, I just got lazy since I know that players don't exactly see that part of the model unless it's on the ground. The weapon range would be somewhat lesser than the other shotguns, and have pretty much no penetration, but would probably kill an opponent because they'd be on fire quite severely if a lotta pellets hit them. The actual hit wouldn't be very damaging either, though. As for dual-wielding... that all depends on how balanced the shotgun would be doing that. It certainly would be possible because of the weapon's size and how it's sorta mid-front heavy. The fuel for the torch comes from the center of the drum magazine. Because of this, this shotgun wouldn't hold a high number of shells, but good enough for usefulness. There's a reason the drum mag has a fuel line leading to that box thing in the front.

This thing shoots burning particles instead of lead bellets right? Like the 2nd fire of the Unreal 2 shotgun. |

It would still fire lead pellets, but ones that are slightly porous, so that way the propellants can stay with the pellets better. Or at least realistically it would. The Flak Cannon just fired really hot shrapnel bits, not fuel covered rounds. ![]() -- I might rename this to be simply the FAIS21. I'll give reasons behind that name here too: FAIS is short for well... look at the thread title, that'll tell ya. The number 21 is easy. I always try to number my designs to certain specs. The 2 is because this is my second major design of such a weapon. The 1 is because it's version 1 of the gun, as I didn't make any small revisions to the gun later on. -- Edit: I've fixed up the rear stock, so I'll be sending the model over to you, Xav, in a day or so. |

why dont ypou make it shoot glas bulets filled with napalm? in that way whe the bullets hit the target they break, engulfing the target with small bursts of fire? |

I don't think the torch at the front is entirely necessary. You could always use the friction from the air to ignite it, the way tracers do. |

Basically it's a style thing with the torch on the front. It's kinda like how the Fifty-9 actually has the model's side saying Fifty-9 (by modeling, not by a texture). Hey, it's also useful as a lighter for the guy with cigars.
