Here is my scar assignment from a game company which I currently have work placement thing at on distance. My texturing skills are poor. It has diffuse (ambient occlusion merged with it), normal and specular map.

The poly budget was 1000, this one lies on 994.
Goal was to keep all in quads, it has 1 triangle. A highpolygon mesh was used for normal map making.

PS I hate you maya for you caused me so much trouble making this. Ridiculous crashes and slow downs. Highpoly modeling I just refuse to do in maya, unless there really is a proper way to control hard egdes.

That's pretty damn nice for a 994 poly model Kien! As long as you can keep that that 4-sided max... you're happy, I notice.

Thats really cool!! I wish I had a job placement thing for a game company. :D

Very nice model though. I'm impressed! I don't suppose you'd have time to work on models for BW any more, would you?

Ooh nice sayings thank you. :)

With lots of lack of sleep and screwed day cycle this was done in about 2.5 weeks.

I have more or less time. I need to finnish other old assignments but I can't work all the time. ;) So I could spend some time on BW weapons.

In fact I wish to do but the ambition isn't truly there. I have some ideas in mind though, but I can't decide which to make so I never finnish anything. The auto GL that I showed here I don't think I will work more on. It's recoild and damage in propotion to other weapons would just be ridiculous. And with the gattling style and ammo belt it becomes too similar to the mingun. RIP my little cannon. :<

My latest idea is of a laser rifle with minirockets.
