&fmt=18

Throw it onto the end of the vid URL you are watching and see the quality difference! For those who are lazy, I'll give a good comparison of the same video to the &fmt=18 version.





The best time to tell side by side is the text. It is noticeably different, and better.

The one with &fmt=18 will have the better quality. Kinda odd that you can't normally know this... and too bad it doesn't help with videos that are just crap quality anyways.

I found out because of one person's comment to do so while watching Wangan Midnight ep9 I think. Some comments DO help!

When the source is of crap quality, there isn't much you can do to improve it.

Which one is the higher quality one?

It's supposed to be the one on the right (or bottom), but apparently embeded vids can't allow for the &fmt=18 thing... It does look better when at Youtube. I could never read the text.... but the higher quality version lets me actually see what I read.
