ModOutputDir doesn't sound like a folder that inputs custom content into the game...

But looking at that link it seems like more people than just me dislike how many apps and games use the Documents folder. It is nothing but lazyness on the coders' behalf, a coding rookie could write up a profile feature that keeps all data within the game folder.

Getting back on topic, it is kinda confusing to tell whether the end user agreement states that the destruction of your installation disk would make your license null and void. Here are some relavent sections from the Eula agreement at the site: http://www.epicgames.com/ut2k4_eula.html

therer are 2 sentences that contradict each other:
"The license fee you paid gives you the right to use the Software."
"You may terminate this license at any time by destroying the Software and related documentation."
...Documentation as in the installation disk? paper comes to mind when I hear "documentation"; if that is so, then I guess they mean that the license is good as long as you have the key?

Then again, this is agreement is not entirely clear and certain details can be debated. For example: "In the unlikely event that you are naughty and fail to comply with any provision of this license, this license will terminate immediately without notice from us. Upon termination, you must destroy the Software and related documentation."
"...this license will terminate immediately..." (by whom and under what authority)?
"...without notice from us..." (Us being... epic?)

I sure hope that either I missed some assumptions that were clearly stated or that this was written by an intern or somebody inexperienced, probably in his/her teens. As it stands, I interperate this to say that if you still have the key, you have the right to have UT2004 installed on your computer, even if you trash your disk and have to torrent a disk image. Feel free to contest this idea, but please back it up with more than "I say...". Now, I have not done such a thing, just saying that that is how I am interperating this poorly written documentation.

They should translate the EULA to normal English one of these days.

So, I guess we can all agree that the take home message is that Eula seems to acknowledge that the legal possession of a key grants you the right to install the game, even if the disk is destroyed (eg: torrents)?

Might very well be. But don't quote me on that, this is a gray zone at best.
