i dont know...one time i dropped a chocolate chip cookie inside my computer and it turned into this whole nasty business with fires, sparks, and blue screens and whatnot. so i dont trust any type of cookie around my computer anymore.

which reminds me, you cant have a purely capitalist or purely communist government and have it work perfectly. you need a little of both. just like a cookie needs a little of chocolate chips, and a little of the actual cookie.

also remember that democracy is the preferred government type of a communist entity, while a purely capitalist entity would probably have small, central leadership, as opposed to a relatively large government with taxing power.

that being said, i do not like obama because he only got elected because he is black.

That clip is quite funny and does support the suspicion that people do not choose to do much actual research to make an informed choice based on how their beliefs line up, but it is not proof that people voted for Obama because he is black. As you my have noticed if you made it to the half-way point, the people asking the questions flipped the tables and asked McCain fans why they like Obama's policies and got the same kind of response. A very similar thing was done in 2001/2002 regarding America's sudden involvement in the middle East. I would not doubt that some people considered the fact that Obama would be the first black president and that may have been a factor under consideration, but Obama did have other things going for him, such as great spokesmen ship and his ability to appeal to the people's desires and make the people feel like he would be doing the right thing.

Obama won because of:

1. His kick-ass campaign. I mean seriously, top notch. Few mistakes, great ground game, and Internets.
2. McCain = Bush, McCain = Bush, McCain = Bush, ad nauseum.
3. "The fundamentals of our economy are strong" and related statements.
4. This person.

The whole "black" thing is a wash, in my opinion. I'm willing to bet that for every person voting for his skin color, there's at least one voting against him because of it.

this is a popularity contest, not a race to see who is best. that is the greatest flaw in most democracies IMO.

Most didn't vote in the South because they fall into the
terrorist threat scam McCain plots to win votes.

Sure, there are folks out there that would vote for a ham sandwich on the ballot as long as it has an (R) or (D) next to it, and yes, you'll find the craziest people every time you grab a mic and camera and start interviewing at rallies, but they're not really the ones who choose the president. It's usually the folks in the middle.




And seriously, Juan McCain? I know he was born on a US military base in Panama, but that's just retarded.

I know this is relatively old, but I wanted to address it:

Obama isn't going to do anything yet, and won't be doing anything until January 20, when he actually becomes president. And don't worry about your guns. I don't think he's going to go around trying to take your guns away anytime soon, and I don't believe he has ever stated the intention to do so. And even if he did try, there's no way he's getting it through the House or Senate. Or SCOTUS, after that Heller ruling.
