Thats not useful. See the creature known as the "chicken" is a more recent evolution. Lizzards were laying eggs long before there were chickens.
Each generation, a weird creature evolved and one day the creature was what you'd "call almost a chicken". It would be a bird and looked a lot like a chicken, but was not technically one. It would lay an egg that would hatch an actual chicken.

Okay this is my question,

if you had a broken machine gun, that took 5 mm rounds and you HAD some rounds and a minigun that took 2.5 mm rounds but you didnt have some.

How would you repair the machine gun, or rig the minigun to work with 5mm rounds?
