dual wielding, u will be able to use any wieldable weapons together.. we have a newly animated M806 with 2 hands, but has been coded to support dual weilding by hiding hands etc..

to use dual wielding, probably find 2 guns, then press your key (new control) and then fire away.. there still more features coming..

Hmm...if anyone can tell me, who's tested it and all:

How is the magnum/revolver compared to the handgun? I don't mean IRL, of course, I mean BWs...

How many body shots, on average, does it take to kill someone? How much easier is it to make lethal shots? Any special functions?

I have to agree with a suggestion made on another board, but all others have thought of it: Have some sort of client-side option about whether the XK2 starts with or without the silencer on.

i think the magnum would be 1 shot kill if it hits the head and maybe 2 shots anywhere where else or maybe one.

I think it should take 1 - 3 shots depending on how healthy you are. And you can survive up to 4 shots if you have 199/150 stats.

I'm thinking that this new key (new control) would almost act like a switch between different dual wielded weapons, so say if you had a magnum a handgun and pistol and you picked up a enemies pistol, you could press the key and first have the magnum and pistol, press it again and you'll be using two pistols, press again and you'l be using the handgun and pistol, again and you'll be holding the magnum and handgun .

Also i think it would be good if say you had a pistol in your right hand and the magnum in your left, when you press pirm fire it'll fire the magnum (the gun on the left) and when you press alt fire it'l fire the pistol (the gun on the right).

And maybe if you hold down the new (control) key and press the alt fire button than when you lift you finger (god let it be your finger holding it down) from the alt key, whenever you fire either weapon (alt for right hand and prim fire for left hand) it'll shoot the guns alt fire. Than if you want to fire the guns prim fire, you just do the same thing over again namely holding down the Key and than pressing prim fire instead of alt. This would be for when you have two different guns (ex a handgun and a magnum). But if your holding two of the same guns you can use the selectable weapon fire modes (their would an added weapons fire mode when your dual weidling) to either fire the two guns like above or to just have prim fire fire both guns prim fire attck, same with the alt fire and special function, also you can only do this with the SMG's, maybe the pistol but not the magnum or handshotgun.

also if you hold down the new key (control) and press the special functions key both weapons that are being dual weilded will use their have their special functions activated. this would kinda be a pain in the rear with two different weapons but i'm sure you RS guys can figure out how to get it to work with just 1 activation key.

When dual wielding their should be a second ammo counter on the left side of the screen right above the health/shield counter, this ammo counter would be the counter for the ammo being held in the left side of the screen (left hand weapon) , and above this would be the selectable weapon fire modes for the weapon being held on the left side of screen (left hand weapon). And just to make it clear death messgaes and the death adavtar pics would be placed above the new ammo counter and seletable weapon fire modes.

Pistols, magnums and the sidearm shotgun should all be fired one after another namely alternating fire. This would be so that you can't fire them at the exact same time. When dual wielding two of the same (two handguns) SMG's or two different SMG's (XK2 SMG and the handgun), you can fire SMG's at the same time or in alternating fire. If dual weilding a SMG and a pistol/hand shotgun/ magnum, you can fire the the SMG at the same time as your firing the pistol/magnum/hand shotgun or you can just fire them sepearatly.

Hope you RS guys are reading this cause this would work really well and be almost exactly like the dual weilding mut excpet one hand can't use alt fire while the other uses prim, but who cares its still f**king cool, and i'm sure if you RS guys wanted to you could end up modifying my idea and to work just like the dual weilding mut but with just one KEY, which will be so much cooler than 2 keys.



Also just wondering RS, are the other sidearms namely the XK2 SMG and Skirth sidearm going to be dual wieldable? Just think of holding dual XK2 makes me think of Halo 2's dual SMG's, which makes me very happy, plus i can kill tones of Jackels and elites from HaloUT's mod

I'm guessing their won't be any use of the iron sights when holding two weapons.

to business.. ok we have a swapping key, and the iron sights key to used.. u have a magnum, then pickup a m806.. now u press the new swapping key, and now u have a magumn in priamry hand (depending on your handedness) anda n m806 in other hand.. now cycle weapons with next an previous, and secondary weapon will cycle.. now press swap again, and the hands will switch, allowing u to change the other weapon, then swap back if u want.. this allows u to add silencers and LSights and so on..

reloading.. press reload, and whichever is emptier will reload first, is both the same, then reloads primary first.. takes a while, but it worth it!!

fire modes (DC's nightmare) this took effort, but now.. have 2 m806's, and they will alternate, eg fire right, then left and so on.. very nice i must say.. i'm not as certain as DC, so i'll get him in here to tell u..

new handgun has silencer on by default.. sorry, but its how we like it u know u can skip the anim by firing?

A42, XK2 and MRT6 ARE dual weildable.. very interesting.. that XK2 just burns the clips.. and the newly add (muuhahaha) cool features make this a very very nice battle..

i almost forgot.. we have the tracking feature with dual weapons, accesed by using the iron sights key when 2 weapons are out.... basically, u aim your crosshair at some dude, then hold the iron sights key, and your secondary weapon will follow the target till outta sight.. and while tracked, start firing, and the second weapon will fire and follow at tracked target, with recoil of course.. primary weapon, will fire where your crosshair is pointed.. very nice this one.. especially with dual, semi-auto handguns..

Ok, heres the deal...

Dual wielding lets you use any two dual weapons together.

You use just ONE extra key for dual wield.

If you have a handgun (weapon that supports dual wield) out, you press dual key to bring up another gun in you other hand. By default it will try to put a gun that matches your current (Master) gun in the other hand.
Once you have two out, you can use Next/Prev cycle to cycle through your secondary (Slave) guns.
You can press the Dual key to swap them around.

Weapon Special, Weapon fire mode and most functions affect only the master. With certain guns it may be passed onto the slave. You can swap guns, set their firemodes, laser, silencer, etc, then swap back.

Sights are no longer used with dual guns, instead the sight key is used to make one of your guns track an enemy. This way you can simultaneously aim at two different opponents! (Muhahahahah!)

To leave dual mode, you change weapon with the number (Inventory group) keys.

When it comes to which gun get fired, it works like this:
If either gun is burst or full auto, it starts firing the master, then half its fire cycle time later, it starts firing the slave. They both stop firing when you release fire.
If both are single/semiauto and are the same kind (M806/pistols/etc or Magnum/Deserteagle/etc or Uzi/XK2/etc) you press fire to fire the one. Then when you press fire again, it will fire the other. It alternates like this until ammo is out.
If both are single/semiauto, but not same, like a magnum and m806, it will fire one shot from the master first, then continuously fire the slave at a semiauto style RoF until fire is released.

BTW, Dual XK2s VERY cool! Say good bye to your ammo though; 28 rounds a second!

dunno.. think its the wheel and/or brackets....

but nothing beats seeing a bot being ANNIHILATED in a stream of XK2 bullets, just flying out of your 2 guns!! ahhh.. and 2 Magnums!! the poor bots..

if u think that might be nasty (Dual XK2 at 28 RPS) imagine our minigun.. a glorious, 50 RPS!! 50.. now think of the little guy happily driving hios scorpion along, when a thunderous sound rings out, and his little vehicle is engulfed in bullets!! impact marks, bullet whizzing sounds, impact effects and sounds.. and all those cartridges!! man..

Yeah, it could even slow my FPS down to 300.

The dudes in Time Splitters 2 can hold double shotguns! But of course, that game's silly and unrealistic.

I can't seem to remember. If you're a Time Splitters fan, do you remember if you can dual wield grenade launchers??

TS2 was the best game ever, i think you could only duel weild one handed weapons. but i cant remember........

It is possible to use some shotguns with one hand, but they ain't very powerful.

yeah but the one sidearm shotgun is still pretty powerful.

Only up close, after one shot it will take quite a few moments to recover and get the aim back in place. It'd not be too practical for BW.

I love using ths shot-pistol in invasion. Two up-close double-shots will drop a Skaarj Warlord.

If you fight a huge one with Monster Manager configured invasion, it could take a lot more shots to take one down.

yeah the poor bots... their are gonna be many dead bots when v2.0 comes out.
