While it's true that you can't have sex with virtual characters (yet*), they do have certain interesting advantages: they can be summoned and dismissed at will, always look good, never complain (except for the occasional "I'm on your team, idiot!!"), always respawn when you accidentally or intentionally kill them, etc. Not bad at all!

Creating a real life person from a computer design wouldn't be too difficult once the human race masters the magics of biology. Basicly rendering a person/character with molecular and bio-structural information, then let a machine create it with ultra-sharp accuracy.

An endless supply of sexy clones would be pretty sweet, but humanity's ultimate goal should be transcendence of the flesh. So instead of creating AIs and robots in our image, we should remake ourselves in theirs. Once we're free of our weak, mortal bodies we can travel to the stars, and/or live in VR fantasy worlds forever.

forget bioengineering, just get a chopper full of sociopaths, inject them with lsd or pcp and adrenaline, thump them over the head then kick them out the hatch, and have a second chopper airdrop the weapons package

I know that almost all custom armor has this side of nudity for the women and bulky armor for the guys, but I did find a armor pack of scanty armor with a twist. It was male armor!
I downloaded it because of the novelty of some angry Nord wearing only a loincloth for protection.

On the other hand, I'd love to be in something like Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, or any of racing games.

I might go to UT, only if they turned off pain reception for that. And turned on auto respawn when killed instead of falling over and wondering what happened, and why I can't move anymore.

You are afraid of pain? Nothing wrong with pain as long as you aren't getting damaged physically.

Pain when playing video games would be pretty cool, gives you more of an incentive to live.

Plus it won't really be cheating to enable god mode, that just means your character won't get hurt, but you on the other hand... heh heh heh...

That reminds me, any one out there know how to quickly and easily hook up some sort of force feedback thingy where it just shocks you instead of spins some motors? I think it might be kind of fun...

I'd probably hide a lot more if they added in pain reception. It's just I wouldn't want to feel the pain of being hit by that G5... blown up into little gibs...

Xavious one issue withthat, many games have rumble when you fire your weapon or rumbule to alert you of something (like an earthquake or in turnbased MP games your turm)

I don't think you'd have enough of a brain to send pain signals to the non-existing limbs.

You know, I was thinking about that DuexHero, and the only advice I'd give to someone using a device like that would be to conserve your shots.

I'd like to be put into UT2K4 that way I could be with Miko...then get my face shot off then respawn and go through it all again...you know what...Id rather be put into Oblivion so I could be with the nice Kahjiit people.

Fun thread here. When playing any Fps or RPG I tend to run a female characther. Whoa folks think!! Meatboy got some gender issues? Naw I point out that I'm going to spending hours and hours staring at my chossen avatars ass as I move around the world, and if i'm going to be doing that I would rather stare at a shapely female backside.

The same goes for armor on female characters. Scanty armor aint nothing new, look at any comic book and the babes all wear as little or as form fitting amor/costumes as possible. Would it work in real life? Nooooo. Somebody getting ready to kil a female in armor is most likey not thinking "Wow what a rack". However scantily clad females in armor in a game are pleasing to the eye, so bring em on.

As more women get into playing games i'll bet you will begin to see more gents in tight form fitting armors to show off rippling muscules and tight butts for the ladies also. After all they deserve a pleasing ass to look at as they play also

Hey, if I did get in UT, then I'd most likely attempt to get my team to do some hiding, and then using actual military tactics instead of being morons and running around acting like they are invincible, even when they only have 3 health left.

That plus making sure I use my M50's camera a lot, or the Translocator camera around almost all corners. And only play on the large outdoors levels, or underground bunker levels, my favorites. I'd still have my main team of Miko, Mario, and Chuck Norris. Heh, I'd probably stay near Miko, both for actually making sure that she doesn't get hurt as much (geez, in team matches, that armor wouldn't stop anything!), and also for talking to. I don't think talking to the team plumber would be fun, and I'd probably be yelling freindly fire at Chuck if I decided to have him cover me.

Last time he was covering me, he shot me in the face with a railgun... And then again, he might actually be like the REAL Chuck if I actually did go virtual and get in UT(2k4).
