2003 sucked 'cause it sucked. Insanely fast pacing, crappy atmosphere, unbalanced weapons (Shock > Everything > Link/Bio), and no real innovation (no Onslaught yet, adrenaline sucked). 2004 is a lot better than you would guess from the way people talk about it.

Keep in mind Unreal 2 has nothing to do with the classic Unreal. But it's still a fantastic game for what it tries to deliver.

It was your own fault not to read the back of the box before buying it.

The reason I was not disappointed was because I knew beforehand that it had nothing to do with Unreal, so I played it as exactly that, and therefore I could judge the gameplay from a fair standpoint. And my opinion is that the gameplay is very fun, mission based, great weapons, beautiful graphics and audio.
Definitely buy it I say.
