I wouldn't worry too much, when a part of the human race moves to Mars in the far future it will take centuries or even milleniums to overpopulate it, by that time we will probably have big ass starships that can travel to new planets that are dozens of lightyears away in a matter of days or weeks.

Well my thoughs is that Diablo 3 will be released in 2012

in 2012, the earth will still spin, tossers will always be knows as tossers and not a damn thing will happen, unless we all get sodomised by little green men. But then, some people might enjoy that. Cmon, who really believes in the end of the world crap?? Man will wipe out civilisation long before the earth will. Star Ships might exist (Damn that would be wicked) to take us away, but they havent converted being stupid into fuel. 75% of the population would have infinite energy.........

i agree with you. its too much effort to clean up a mess of this magnitude. better to just start over. plus, i imagine that no average joe's will be able to go to mars, it will probably be mostly smart people. it would be interesting to see how evolution will play out, when most smart/successful people are in mars and all of us poor/stupid people are still on earth, or if the earth people will be jealous and try to kill the mars people. can you imagine that? all throughout history we have been afraid of mars invading us....some people in the future might be afraid of earth invading mars. oh man, thinking about all that stuff can write so many great books.

That Mars scenario might turn out a slightly different way. If stupid people were left behind and smart people got sent off to Mars:
1) Smart people figure out a way to terraform Mars into Earth v. 2.0.
2) Smart people continue contact with stupid people.
3) Smart people eventually return to Earth and find a malleable mass of drones milling about waiting for orders.
4) Let the fun begin!!!

Humans will destroy all the rescources on earth before they have a chance to colonize other planets, our space techonology is a joke, we will never get anywhere until we kill all the scum on earth first, and i aint talking useless masses either, children with too much power leads to doom.. And humans are doomed until they see otherwise, or other life forms make us see otherwise..

Bottom line, humans can't solve their own problems in a clean easy way, they f***ed up earth too long ago..

I'm all for the Mars expedition, still, there will always be humanity's "Sickness" in the fact that we, as humans, as animals and as hunters with that instinct, will always slaughter ourselves. Then you probably would have mind control through drugs or new technology, but even that isn't 100%, evolution will always play a role in this, so maybe a doorway to hell wouldn't be so bad. It would save us a few billion or so to travel to mars, only to eventually wipe ourselves out.

BUT then you have the bad version of hell in Little Nicky, especially when your hitler........
