Well I just gave them some general instructions, exact damage, accuracy etc. was determined by RS guys. Anyway, maybe the burst's spread at longer range could be increased slightly, and the post-burst chaos too, to balance the pistol's power a bit. But hey, it's a 10 mm so it should definitely do some serious damage! Also 10 mms have an exceptionally flat bullet trajectory, so good accuracy (if you can handle them).

The burst feature is basically like the double barreled blast on the shotguns and the Magnum, those are/will also be quite powerful.

Sweet, so this answers Crasomyr long pondered question... has RS forgotten the J55 Shard cannon, and i guess they havn't.

And all i know is that nobody should sponsor the G36 unless i say i don't want to sponsor them cause i'm 90 % sure i'll sponsor their making.

I don't think it looks like a luger. . .More like a baretta. The luger had it's weird hinged bolt. . .this thing has a straight slide.

Well for me the sound and the look is sorta (not totally or even remoetly) like a luger, it just gives me that kind of feel, i the way it fires is like a luger, cause lugers sorta jump back when fire just like the 10mm pistol.

And one other thing. . .has anyone noticed that RedShift's pistol feels less "magnum-y" than the original pistol?

what do you mean by that? if you mean it feels more powerful than the orginal pisto than yes.

No. . .Personally, the original pistol feels a lot more powerful than RedShifts. Sound, animations, model, and damage. The original pistol feels more like a magnum than the new one. Not the other way around.

And the opriginal pistols burst feature is still uselessly inaccurate.

i have to diagree Cas, to me Redshifts pistol feels alot more like a magnum than the original pistol does. The new pistol is more powerful and accuarate.

You are confusing facts with feelings; it is easy to see which is more powerful, but the stronger one can still feel like it is weaker, and that of course reduces the fun of using it.

No, you just have to read my post again and see that I'm talking about; the connection between the feeling and the fact of measuring the power of a weapon. Two different things.

Yeah, you're absolutely right... Originally it was meant to be more powerful, but ended up being a kind of general purpose high capacity semi auto (and as such it is fairly effective, imo).



The .45's burst isn't a burst at all, way too slow.

YOu can't even call it a burst, since its just like pressing the prim fire of it really fast

I'd rather want the sound to get a boom-increase, rather than a bass/treble boost, it does nothing to the feeling except make things shake more, the sound is still as weak.

The orginal pistol to me sounds pretty weak, i don't know what it needs to make it sound powerful like the 10mm but somehow it needs it.

It needs the boom of the sound to make you get this good feeling when you hear the sound and the opponent falling dead to the ground.

Actually, I rally like redshifts 10mm the way it is, as a lighter pistol. The .45 should be beefed a little bit to serve as the medium pistol, with the magnum of course being the heavy pistol.

RedShifts has all the cool features, silencer, laser, and the 1-headhot-kill burst feature of doom, so that ought to compensate for it being the lighter pistol.

I hope that the final version of redshifts 10mm pistol's burst fire of doom is fixed so it isn't as effective at longer ranges.

Yeah, bit more medium/long distance spread and post-burst chaos for the RS8, and also slightly more overall chaos for the XRS-10. That should do the trick.
