That depends on how good your card performs in the future, who knows if iD Software will release a breakthrough graphics engine that will break the necks of all today's graphics cards?

Well, one of the plusses of ATI cards is that they perform pretty well under pressure. Extreme Tech had an article on the top graphics cards and their benchmarks and, while Nvidia had higher scores, they had much greater drops than ATI when AA and soft shadows were enabled. Though if iD makes a super powered Doom 8, I'm sure all the cards would break too.

That is the very same thing I noticed when I looked at benchmarks, I was going to buy the X1900 XTX but it was too expensive to be worth it, the 7900 GTX was only $500 while the X1900 one was over $580 if I remember correctly.

That's in one of the cut scenes of the expansion pack. You get to run around and use that heart as a powerup.

The cutscene is rendered in-game though, in a similar manner to the Serious Sam 1st/2nd Encounter games.

And yes, that heart can manipulate space and time to slow down the time for demons but not for you, it makes your weapons 4x more powerful and makes you invulnerable. Only for a very short time though, and you need to beat bosses to gain each of those abilities I mentioned.

When you stabalize the singularity in the reactor (in the second level of first chapter), then the gravity gun is decharged back to it's normal state.

But the singularity isn't stable forever...

I wonder if Gordon'll ever get another super powered gravity gun. It sure was fun to run around with it and play with people. I like how some mods give it a toggle. Like Smod.

I think there will be a whole new level of charge of the gravity gun in Ep2. I look forward to see if that is true or not.

I can't exactly run it. I get about 20-40 FPS from it, never 60. I get 240 on loading screens, cuz there's nothing to see! Same goes to my older game, Morrowind (But that's because I got like, 50 mods on for MW.)
