titan pack is pretty sweet.
the new blue color is much more pleasant to the eye.
my only complaint is: NEEDZ MOAR STEALTHBENDERS!
also, NOVA the robot looks Really Sexy.

Havn't had a chance to try out the patch much, and we just got the titan pack a few minutes ago..

The patch is welcomed in my eyes, I find bots arent godlike on Skilled now.

I didn't think the bots were all that great on Godlike to begin with...

Am i'm the only one who think that with this patch they become more skilled then they were before ? Or i just started to suck more ?

I can't really tell. I think it's about the same. You get into a groove, then adding new s tuff could affect what was not changed. There's also the placebo effect.

The other day i was playing campaign online every guy playing it admited that with patch they become more aggressive.
Maybe its only campaign specific? Haven't played instant action vs bots much.

man, right now I wish that the Crucible get released as a mutator so that I can play in some UT3 maps. UT3 maps are much more suitable to BW/Crucible, than default Ut2004 maps.
and am I the only one which loves to say "DENIED" in Real life? like when defending the goal in football or a point in basketball?

but it's true... I guess that, for example, DM-HeatRay is better than... DM-*insertnameofut2004arena*. ut2004 maps were nonsense. there is a map that says in the description that it is a refinery... but it looks like lots of ramps together!

UT3 maps have sense... one is a city, or a forest, etc.

also, UT3 has city static meshes, which means lots of custom maps made with these. and, you know, BW fit well in City environments(DM-Blackhawk). I hope that Crucible gets released as a mutator first, like BW, so that we can play with some UT3 maps. then RS could develop the TC.

I hope that it will be as mutator aswell, then we can play it with other good mods and find that uber combination thats suits you. And TCs, i just dont find my self playing them too much exept for Killing Floor which i always played with BW weapons.
Speaking of maps it would be cool if author of Blackhawk made a remake for UT3

And so do some custom UT2004 maps. It is a little narrow-minded to put all the thousands of maps into the "nonsense" category. I for example would not call Blackhawk, Pueblin Canino or Unrealville nonsensical.

But since we are speaking about this, I don't think UT3's maps are any better than UT2's when it comes to art direction. Sure the theme is more fleshed out, but people are still putting details into their maps just for the hell of it, many times the usage of details doesn't make any sense in relation to the theme.

the patch and Titain pack improve the game overall i think, and it adds some better maps Glad to see Turbine again!

Ah well.. I find the new sniper rifle looks sick, nice combination of the SRS and the normal sniper rifle. THough it honestly looks like it would be a semi-automatic sniper rifle, that or the stock can be extended or shrunk, possibly for greater movement speed when folded?

Perhaps. In which case he is right, the AI is terrible. It doesn't understand visibility, strategic use of the map's geometry nor is there any sign of the AI learning the map and changing its path to make use of what it learns about (such as where weapons and other pickups are located). It is as basic as a robot following a fixed path which only detects opponents as XYZ co-ords and checks if there is collision or not in the line of fire.

I thought that the apples were made to don't cause lag in PCs. but then, it's 2009 and some PCs can handle a dynamic AI.
my brother said that in Quake there wasn't apples, instead there was a "learning mode" to teach the bots to where to go and etc.
I'm not a PC veteran though, so I don't know if I'm certain there.
and the AI is either retarded or cheater. in Godlike, they aren't intelligent, they just see you behind walls, and rarely miss a shot. they don't understand tactics, mainly in teamgames.
it would be really nice to hide a map vegetation or bots could ignore you feigning death.

oh and apples=Pathnodes.

The only reason bots aren't trying to shoot you through walls is that it is in their line of fire, they know exactly where you are, at all times.
