I have finally put together the parts I´m going to order at NewEgg, as soon as they get the next shipment of the 7900 GTX. :D

Here is my plan.
CPU: AMD64 X2 4400+, 2x1 Mb L2Cache, 1000FSB, Socket K8-939
RAM: 2 Gb DDR400, latency: 2-3-2-5
APU: SoundBlaster X-Fi Fatal1ty
GPU: 512 Mb GDDR3 XFX Geforce 7900 GTX OCd (665C/1630M)
MB: Asus A8N-E

In total this is worth $1500 dollars.
Not bad for a system that will play FEAR with max settings, full AA/AF, 1600 x 1200 and get average 41 FPS. (soft shadows will be off though)

So what do you guys think? And remember James, my old computer runs UT2004 on max settings (no AA/AF)...:D

OMG that's teh 1337357!!11!! :ohmy:

D00d, that's even overkill for UT2007. Well, almost...

Incidentally, I recently started playing UT99 again, and damn does it run smooth on my current rig (the previous one could barely handle it). If only 2K4 ran that smooth... Well, one day, it will! :lol:

I hope I will be able to run UT2007 smoothly on medium/high settings, and since UT2007 isn´t far away I would think this computer will be more than enough.

But this PC will be outdated in 6 - 9 months, sounds so sad. :S:P

Aaaahhh! Well then, so that's how it is 'ey...

We probably can't even get some of that stuph here...

You'll be one of the few who will actually be able to use our new permanent blood option...
If any game out now has to have something switched off to run on that PC, then what kind of PC are you supposed to have???

It isn´t the question of if it lags with permament blood, it is when it starts to lag. :P
I´d need terabytes of memory if I want to basicly guarantee unlimited decals without lag.
:P

But maybe you guys can afford this kind of PC if the donating goes well for a while. :)

I wanted to bump to tell you guys my hardware is now sitting on the floor next to me, this weekend a friend of my dad's will put the thing together.

It took a while to get the stuff from the toll, they are stubborn son of a bitches.
