Doom 3, Quake 4 and Prey. Not sure what others to name, I've been buying very few games the past years. The selection gets duller by the second in the PC section.

I think that's true James. Quake 4 does, so why not Prey since it is both newer and uses the same engine?
But tell me what FPS you are getting in Doom 3; my old system ran it at average 45 FPS with High 800 x 600. 256 Mb Geforce FX 5700 LE 1 Gb DDR400 2.8 Ghz P4 SB Live! 5.1 Man, now I see how insane upgrade I made.

It is easy to get Windows for free, but it is illegal so I'm not going to say anything more. Anyways, since it is 100% you have a Mac but not 100% that you'll have Windows, I'd consider it a better idea to get the Mac version. And by the way, I strongly recommend F.E.A.R., it is simply an awesome game. Kind of a Doom 3 and HL1 blend. |

lol, i started reading what you said and i started cracking up....... hmm...... FEAR is PC only...... so maybe i should get Windows so i can play Doom3 and FEAR (and HL2....). ok so if Most the good games are on PC + they run better on PC i think i'll save up for windows (*pukes every where*) so i can save up to buy PC games (*more puking*). |

BF2 is good. F.E.A.R is supposed to be really good, but I haven't played it enough. What I've seen/played was great, though. Prey, definetly. Dawn Of War is a great RTS. Doom3 is Okay. Quake4 is made by Raven, so I'd trust it to be very fun. GTA bothers me. StarShip Troopers MIGHT have been good. . .If it had stuck to the book. But it didn't. It's a piece of crap just like the movie. The BOOK is awesome though. COD2 Is great. I'd recommend the Deus Ex games, but you have to play them in order, and the first game was on Unreal1 Engine, so it's not like you'd be taking advantage of your new system or anything. Umm. . .Stay away from MMORPG's. FarCry is pretty dang good. My brother likes that new Star Wars RTS. . .But I don't. Oblivion has no MP, but the SP can take like 100 hours to complete if you don't rush it too hard and if you doo all the side-quests. |

FEAR gets better as it progresses, but it starts to get old killing the same bad guys throughout the whole game. There is only occasions where you meet other types of them. But the environments and gameplay kick ass though.
And the GTA series are not my cup of tea, I think they plain suck. I did try GTA3 once but it didn't take me long to quit the game. |

I don't think its STEAM, cause i can still play SP STEAM games and i can play a created bot server on CSS with no problem its just whenever i go onto a server (doesn't matter which multiplayer game i have that uses STEAM) i get disconnected and it says Error while verifying UserID. I've gotten this before but it fixed itself in a hour or two but its been 3 days already... stupid STEAM (even though i really like it). Edit: I went on some Half Life 2 fourm and found out all i needed to do was log out from STEAM than log in agian, and it worked... minus the fact that the game takes a while longer to load but still it works, at least for CSS, gonna try DoDS now, i tell ya later if it works. Edit again: Well all is well, DoDS and Half Life 2 Deathmatch work fine now. Thank god for that forum. |

I got the very same error as you, but that was when I tried to log in... So I was forced to reInstall the program, thank god it only took a few minutes. |

For the RPG fanatic, may I suggest these games: The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind GOTY edition The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Other Games... Battlefield 2, but the expansions too. LEGO STARWARS! IT'S ADDICTIVE!!! Full Spectrum Warrior C&C Renegade, and the other games too, Maybe some of the classic Elder Scrolls games, but I don't think they're worth it. (Both OLD games(Arena and Daggerfall) are very repetitive, (no unique places!!)) Zoo Tycoon Complete Collection and Zoo Tycoon 2 (Buy the expansions too!). I loved watching the bears killing each other, a young bear killed his own dad once..... Other than PC games, I love Tekken Series, Halo 2, Time Splitters, and Champions of Norrath. I think they're all worth buying. |

Oblivion and Morrowind can be addictive, as long as you don't get hooked. It is easy to control your addiction, just get yourself bored in one hour and do it again in the next day. Although I have to say, the Construction set let's you do anything for a mod, and I mean anything. I made a arrown named Lightning Sparrow, put it in a barrel outside the starter sewers in Oblivion, duplicated it, (It's speed is godlike) and caused the Havok engine to go nuts. I saw stretchy imperial soldiers fly up 100 feet into the air, and maybe get stuck on someone's roof. |

Morrowind is very addictive... Unfortunatly, I spend more time in the construction set than the actual game itself...
