I don't play online, although I have a capable net connection. But I think there should be new polls every 2 weeks, so we get a more accurate resault.

Hehehe...parents... ! Yeah, I agree with the modem reseting. There's no need to reset it, unless you are in africa like us and have constant power problems, then they can do strange things. |

But your parents can't deny you from upgrading if you are the owner of the PC and if you're paying the upgrades. Even if you don't own the PC all by yourself, you can still visit a website and buy the stuff you need to put together a computer, just make sure that won't be funded by anyone but your own wallet. |

WRONG....Resetting the Cable modem and router also resets the routing table which fills up after sometime, also Cleaning it out is a good idea....want proof?? run it for 6 months..do a speed test, the reset everything and run another speed test. I rest my case. As far as no updates....geez...Put a sign out in front of your house that reads "Hack me Hack me"....

I have to reset my router every so often because my network "freezes" out of the blue from time to time. It's truly weird. |

I barely have any network knowledge at all, you mean I can go to their website and download the latest software to make my system more compatible with the Zyxel? |

Well its the built in software for the actual router itself..Yes.... |

What's the difference between 'Software', 'Firmware' and 'Driver'? I have all of those options in the downloads section of the Zyxel website. |

Software is programs that accomplish tasks. Drivers are the interface between an operating system and the computer hardware. Firmware is like. . .software that's hard-coded into something, so it can't be overwritten or changed without physically damaging the storage device. |

Incorrect, firmware is stored in an eprom of the router which can be upgraded or changed. |

I have to reset my modem and LAN hub every day. My 13 year old brother messes them up whenever he loses at any game.
If he loses at an RTS he thrown a tantrum. Problem is that you actually invest emotion in RTS games because they take so long. In UT, you get killed, and it's "Darn. Oh well, respawn." In RTS game it's "AGH!! He nuked my base! That took 20 minutes to build up!" . . .Sometimes, if I'm not careful to just BARELY beat him, I get threatened/attacked with kitchen knives. |
