as u can see it's 2.2 metres tall, 21 KG weight, with 11 of that in lead slabs.. we melted the lead ourselves in our custom made furnace! that sucked.. enjoy [br][br][br]

If you live in a big city, the neighbours may not like it.

I built a small one, maybe three feet high, a couple years ago. REALLY efficient design. Throwingn a golf ball, I managed to make it 89% effecient at peak, which is pretty darn good for a mechanical device. A local High School made a 10 foot tall version of it for their pumpkin-throwing contest, and the thing easily outthrew ones three times it's size. They mostly dissassembled it, though, but I can at least get my hands on the frame for it, so I might rebuild it sometime. Mine used 15lbs of weight, was three feet tall, and threw a golf ball over 350 feet. I'm too lazy to conver all that into the much more sensible metric system, AND I've got to go to class. College sucks. Later! |

Where you are, SB, I wouldn't want to hit a neighbor with that...fear of being hit back with a spear. Lol then again, if RS did do their work in those areas, you'd have plenty of room to use it...maybe bag yourself a cannibal! |

Ironically, we probably might just hit a cannibal, but still in the middle of town. I wouldn't like to be one of our neighbors... Oh yeah, I made a spear too nice little beastie that. Best of all, though is ma' sword! took me a few day with a furnace and hammer, but turned out pretty good. Very sharp, I know... |

Are you starting a war or something DC? Spears, swords and god forbid a trebuchet, its like your making something for your private army of BW members

Quiet, Ugly. We don't want them to know that we've caught onto their scheme! They're going to use Mod-powers to mind control us all and turn us into an army of minions! |

Dang. You look like you got quite an armory. I wanna help! I made a couple of war hammers... Maybe you oughta add a trebuchet for junk wars as a turret. Might be pretty fun, just tossing random junk into it to launch it. |

I make weapons, too, but I'm not very skilled at it yet. Currently I'm making a sword, but all I have to heat it up with is a torch, so it makes it a bit difficult. |

DC made his sword in a furnace, and good 'ol hammering.. then refined it with a angle-grinder..

Angle grinders are always nice when it comes to finishing the blades.
I should put up a pic of my dad's sword. That thing is awesome. Completely hand made except for the gaurd and pommel, which my brother made in school with a plasma torch. I'll put a pic up sometime maybe tonight. I learned that it is impossible to get bored in drafting class. With the various tools and sharp pointy things available, I made a catapault and a spear, and flung stuff at Gnome Smasher with them.

You guys get to do this stuff in school??? Man you lucky! We left school so we could learn something useful... Not that knowing the capital of guana isn't essential to every aspect of life. It's still called guana, right? or was I thinking of another place... Oh well, they're all alike anyway... |

Yep, we do that in school, although actually its not quite part of our school, its a technology class we take at the local community college, and our teacher was busy making a phone call all day. |

Usually I make sure the teacher isn't looking first (which is pretty often). Some how I managed to be ahead of everyone in class though, and I'm not really sure how... |

Yeah, read that a while ago... A lot of the things written on Darwin Awards are true. Did you hear about the guy smuggling live lobsters in his pants? On a particularly unsuccessful trip, one of the lobsters snapped onto his... erm, manhood... |
